One is not even obliged to go to the Polling Centre with the Voters' Card. There is even NO picture on the Voters' ID card. Voters even do not attend the counting process after the elections. yet no one complains about the elections. DO YOU REALISE HOW BACKWARD AND STUPID SOME PEOPLE OF 3RD WORLD COUNTRIES ARE. All the NPP members in the UK who vote both in the UK and Ghana know about this. Nana Akufo Addo, Gabby Otchere Darko. Asamoah Boateng etc.etc. know about this. Because the NPP knows that most Ghanaians are illiterate and cannot think for themselves, tend to fool them with unreasonable information. Please ask Nana Akufo Addo, who is making a lot of noise about the Voters Register to confirm what I have just enumerated above. Theso NPP people in Ghana, when they vote in the UK they do not make noise as they do in Ghana. I took part in the Registration and the subsequent voting during the 2012 elections and the control mechanism put into the registration and voting processes is superb. In fact it is second to none. The US and UK systems cannot match that of Ghana. PLEASE ASK THE BRITISH HIGH COMMISSIONER IN GHANA, HIS EXCELLENCY JON BENJAMIN AND HE WILL CONFIRM THIS.
Ghanaians, please we are making a MOCKERY of ourselves! Those alleged Togolese who are said to be on the Voters' Register in Ghana, how were their fingerprints captured unto the system. When they appeared to vote during the 2012 elections, their finger prints were identified by the system and allowed to vote.This means that they went through the registration process and fingerprints captured into the system. Therefore Dr. Bawumiah by claiming that the pictures were scanned and placed on the voters' register is a very stupid statement from someone ignorant of or registration and voting system THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO COMPILE A NEW VOTERS' REGISTER; IT WOULD BE A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND WASTE OF PEOPLE'S TIME QUEUEING IN THE HOT SUN TO UNDERTAKE THIS ONEROUS FUNCTION.
WHAT WE NEDD TO DO IS TO INVESTIGATE THE HUGE NUMBER OF REJECTED VOTES AFTER EVERY ELECTION TO FIND A SOLUTION TO IT.

He is not worth my while, first of all because, it seems that for him, whether the voters register reflects the true numbers and eligibility of valid voters or not, this does not make any difference to the outcome of an election. Where did such an ass get that 'Dr', hanging on his name from? Ebei! Yesu Christo!

At the very minimum, the voters register is supposed to reflect a register of valid voters in this country. That is why, in the first place, we went through the trouble to have it compiled. If that idiotic Oduro is now saying that this does not matter, then why should good money have been spent to compile it in the first place?

This person who probably considers himself to be an educated man, does not even seem to be worried that so much money and effort was spent in the effort to compile a credible voters register, which, as it turns out, has been corrupted and compromised.

Dr Oduro, if you clean your arse and you dont clean it well enough after a crap, you will emit a smell which will inconvenience the public. The same uncomfortable effect is inflicted upon the public by your quixotic logic and a corrupted voters register.

A new credible voters register is the pivot around which any credible polls can be guaranteed.
Indeed, a new voters register is a necessary sin qua non which cannot be decoupled from credible elections and polls. It is like the formula for water (H2O). Without the oxygen molecule, there is no water, likewise without the hydrogen molecule there is no water. The chemical bonds between the two is what gives you water, either than that, you have oxygen and hydrogen molecules.
A new credible voters register therefore inherently, guarantees credible elections when all other factors are considered and above board. You cannot take one of the table and leave the other. It just would not work.
Now, with just the little work that has been done by the NPP, it has come to the fore that over a whooping 70,000 voters are on the electoral roll from just one region alone, with the voters on the roll being very highly questionable. Let's say we maintain the current register, what happens to those identified voters whose place on the electoral roll are beginning to set off alarm bells to the high heavens? Do we keep them on there or we get them off the roll? If we keep them on there, what reason do we adduce to keep them on there, and if we are to get them off it, what reason do we give to get them off it? And if we keep them and they are not supposed to be on there, what happens to such voters in an election?
It creates a very interesting scenario, where Ghanaians would recall in the election petition, in one of the irregularities that were raised, the number of voters who actually cast their vote was less than the number of ballot papers issued to the polling station however by some mechanism, more of those ballot papers found their way into the ballot box, because the voters register had more names than those who actually cast their ballot and were supposed to be on that register. When Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan was asked how that happened and how he would describe that, he said it wasn't over-voting but it was BALLOT STUFFING...lol, oh my days. What a country....hahahaha.
So in effect, in that instance what had happened was, the EC was indirectly rigging the elections by virtue of the fact that, the voters register had been compromised and ballooned beyond redemption. Effectively, the EC as a body, was in other words choosing Ghana's President, damning the Ghanaian electorate's right to self-determination in a true, representative democracy.
In the case of the minors, the proposal being advocated which is a permanent voter card which has broad range application should solve that problem since, you cannot have a voter card that says you are 18years, a driver's license that says you are 22years, an NHIS card that says you are 14years, a birth certificate that says you are 10years, a passport that says you are 16years all representing one single individual. That would be serious human cloning of a scale totally unprecedented in our part of the world.
So clearly, there is a fix and it is in, and we need to get on with it and ensure the new voters register is ready, timeously, before 2016.
A new voters register is therefore an altogether sacrosanct document that ensures and guarantees free, fair, transparent and credible elections.
Ghana deserves, and must have that new voters register like yesterday already.

Also if the current no verification no vote system in place is neither effective nor efficient, it is the responsibility of the EC to fix that challenge by soliciting ideas and solutions from all the various political parties as well as other stakeholders, to ensure that only eligible and qualified registered voters may exercise their constitutional rights to vote on election day 2016.

What we have now is the credible one that we have. The point of my argument is that we don't have any reference point that we would use to compare the new register with. Now that the problem has been acknowledged the electoral commission will have to sit down with stake holders at the round table to listen to various inputs and find some common ground to avert reoccurance of a bunch of selected judges called supreme cour to again come out with a verdict to decide for 24 million people.Then also during election time various parties should have a mechanism in place to make sure that representatives at various polling stations are not intimidated and they should also make sure that their reps are well fed at the stations and not neglected to go hungry or thirsty because that was the complains we hear out there because do not expect any good job from a hungry or thirsty observer.Police cum soldiers should be at all stations especially the towns and villages to keep the peace and safety.If an observer sees anything out of the ordinary should report it right away and not wait till the harm has already occured.This is the time for parties to come together and come out with pragmatic ideas to stem any fishy play.Long Live Ghana.

Since 1969 NPP and its predecessors have been committing act of ethnic cleansing against Ewhes, and in 2001 they added some Ghas, Nfantis and Ashantis to their victims. Busia's dismissal of 516 from the civil and public service in 1969 is an example. Kufuor repeated it in 2001 by also dismissing Ewhes in the public service and imprisoning some of them with the criminal assistance from the judiciary which bend back to satisfy him by ruling that a law passed in Ghana takes retrospective effect. One of those who ruled in favour of that absurdity is unfortunately the current Chief Justice Mrs. Theodora Woode. It is also on record that in 2012 a parliamentarian member of the NPP call on other tribes in Ghana to use knife and pestle to kill Ewhes and Ghas. When the matter was presented to court the judge ruled that Kennedy Agyapong said nothing like that and that those who said that they heard him saying so had hallucination and the event presented was the fiction of the mind of those who are not members of the NPP, which members went on the rampage, marauded like hounds together with the executives of the party, maimed people and destroyed both state and private property. Are there no elders in the NPP to put the party members to order? NPP has become a blot on the conscience of Ghana and a club of Damocles hanging on the head of this country.
