For your information,in America,we don't pay TV license,you can even watch TV if you don't want to pay for cable or satellite the only thing is that you don't get to watch most of the channels but you have access to a lot more than all the channels in Ghana.

I know this man is fighting a losing battle because of the type of parliament we have,rubber stamp one that does not oppose anything from government but he should circulate the website all over the place,we shall sign for him,the TV license fee which I know those who are asking for it will not pay is one of the most outrageous things this government has done which to the surprise of all NPP also supports,there is too many taxes in Ghana than schools and they continue to introduce new ones.

Laziness is their hallmark, and it reflects in the way the country looks.
Everything is shabby ,shoddy,filthy and unimpressive.
Even their outfits lacked style as most of them are out of shape due to, again laziness.
Every regular thing is regarded and described as ultra modern as most never seen what actually it takes to be ultra modern.
Poverty of the soul has crippled their out look on everything no matter how much money they have or stole from government coffers, their surroundings are filthy meanwhile some ride in $100,000 vehicles and careless to park them close to open choked and smelly gutters.
The human called Ghanaian is becoming UNHUMAN by the hour.

do you know the kind of services tv stations deliver to the public in other countries? do you know the number of job opportunities for the youths in other countries to be able to pay tv license? do you know how much more their leaders care for them? please sit and think critically if tv license should be payed in our doomed days in Ghana now? .......or are you also an extortionist like the governors? ?

Is it true that most people don't watch GTV at all. Because sometimes is only GTV That shows certain programs or event and you hear those who say they don't it will be commenting on it the following day. Are we truthful.

So what have the Parliamentarians been doing, ever since the issue of re-introducing the TV license fee was broached? GTV TV license fee in 2015? Most people dont watch GTV. so why would GTV think that we are living in the 1960s, 1970s or 1980s or 1990s when GTV was the only station one could tune in to? Today, most people have decoders, watching chhannels other than GTV. If GTv cannot generate revenue, the state should continue to subvent them if it thinks their continued existence matters. Stop imposing further taxes on the already overtaxed Ghanaian. People can hardly make ends meet, let alone bear an archaic TV license fee.

So it means Parliament is not abreast with the fact that the GTV license fee is outmoded? God save us ?

This fee is just senseless to reintroduce in the country,a law that was passed when we had only GBC which was accessible to less than 1% of Ghanaians.
GBC is not a public broadcaster for the public to support financially to operate,it is a commercial organization that charges people even to appear there,they charge everything so they should be ready to finance all their activities.
Let the NPP come out to tell us they oppose to the fee,after their MPs voted for it they should tell us if they are against it.

All the leaders in the world whose leadership style to bring more hardships and burden to his own people ended up as failures and disgraceful, as the Bible says in the Book of Daniel 11:20
What are other SOCIAL INTERVENTIONS THAT YOU HAVE IMPLEMENTED THAT'S HELPING ORDINARY PEOPLE . A PART FROM INCREASING THIS TODAY , TAXING YHAT TOMMOROW after collecting from these poor the same people called leaders STEAL THE MONEY AND BUY PROPERTIES IN OTHER COUNTRIES AND DEPOSIT IT IN FOREIGN ACCOUNTS. I live abroad and I know what am saying here, and what these so called politicians come and do here.

They also know that we can engage in any violent demonstration compare to other African countries even some eastern and western countries, so far as the police are there that we are afraid of. But i urge all of you that , we can stand against this evil plan if we refuse by start THREATENING or SACKING those that will stand at our doors in the name of TV LICENSE but we still have to SUPPORT MR BROBAY to quench this HELL FIRE to let our leaders know that they SERVE US we don't SERVE THEM, so they must accede to what we say

Parliamentarians are our representatives , they must seek our opinion on this.
1.public broadcasting they say is not an advert channel , so anybody who pay this TV license thing had the right to sue the broadcaster if s/he see a running advertisment on the channel . that is why the world is moving away from this outmoded practise to a more physiscal and scientific way of carrying the mass with their programs along , through subscribing.

2. GTV cannot collect tv taxes and share among private stations who do adverts on their Programms as a business entity.
There are flaws in this intensions by law , and the early , the public and the leaders show concern the better to carry the mass along .

how are you going to combine the two for collecting fees and at the sametime doing business which had been prohibited by law.
adverts on GTV and all the radio or tv stations which are to benefit from this should have ceased by the first day of tv license re-introduction .

by going against the same law which mandated you to do the collections of the fees had given the mass the rights to denied you any fees point well noted, this is a flirt of the law and ghanaian lawyers, citizens, and everybody must rise against this bad fate flirting to their disadvantages.

for me what i was looking from the tria judge was to direct the GTV and the government to set their modalities rights , in a way that would not have infringe the public broadcasting laws before allowing them to go ahead to it commencements

lastly if there suppose to be amendments of the law, then they should wait for a referendom , thats how democracy and the rule of law means.

so what at all sense is in this tv license? is that the only way government can extort our little money from us? why do I pay for just owning a tv set in my room to the state? did the state sponsored me in buying it? or can I engage myself in a criminal activity with a tv set like gun, knife, vehicle or any other arms? will the state repair or replace my tv set whenever it is damaged? does the state knows the kind of job I do and my per capita income?

if I'm not paying for watching tv programs as claimed the good for nothing GBC, then what at all am I paying for tv license? for just owning a tv set in my house? in fact, I think GBC wants us to fight by introducing tv license in this critical time of economy breakdown. GBC, please learn to campaign against YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT before collecting your good for nothing tv license to open your businesses in town and to send your wards to better schools, ok.better take my advice to prevent any outbreak of war in your country, because me for instance I never mind shooting a tv license collector and end up in jail, because we are fed up with you.

All the board of directors and managers of gbc couldn't take a decision to migrate to decorder system and make the good money that dstv, multi tv , etc are making. They get their fat salaries from government so they don't think.

I don't watch gtv and I paid money to get my decorder so why should I pay tv fees to gtv? For what services?
