Looks like Nkrumah liked and kept the colonial name because he felt it added legitimacy (inherited colonial power - continuity of power from the colonialist) to his rule especially once he declared a one party state with himself as President for Life.

So sad that many off us prefer the colonial designation of Flagstaff House rather than the independence celebrating Jubilee House name. Now who has the neo-colonial mentality?
