It is not a matter of slashing bonuses, have a discussion with them to let them feel respected. 10,000 or 5,000, the players make more when playing for their clubs. Playing for a national team is an honour and not source of money. Talk to the players and I believe they will not be as greedy as the politicians of Ghana, including that minister.

THIS CORRUPT, THIEVING AND INCOMPETENT NDC GOVERNMENT IS SO PUNITIVE TO DOCTORS, NURSES, TEACHERS, SANITARY WORKERS AND OTHERS, NOW THE BLACKSTARS, WHILE THEY HELP THEMSELVES TO MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN OVERSEAS ACCOUNTS. PRESIDENT KUFUOR AND HIS NPP GOVERNMENT OFFRED THE BLACKSTARS US$8000.00 BONUS AND GHANA QUALIFIED TO THE WORLD CUP, FIRST TIME TIME IN GHANA'S LONG FOOTBALL HISTORY. OVER 19 YEARS OF RAWLINGS RULE THE BOYS DID NOT QUALIFY ONCE FOR THE WORLD CUP. ONCE PRESIDENT KUFUOR GAVE THEM AN INCENTIVE WITH GOOD BONUSES, THEY DID WELL AND QUALIFIED.

The country must cut it's coat according to her size. Past national players brought a lot of honours to the nation, but did not earn a tenth of that amout. They played for the Ghana, and everyone felt happy. This is modern times, which I do agree, but Ghana can not give what it can't afford. Playing for the motherland is an honour, and any player who thinks is not enough, in my opinion can reject a call up, period. Ghana is currently facing economic challenges, and we must all help.

They need to slash the number of people in the so-called technical team. All they do is fly to matches and tournaments and collect bonuses. Too many of them, and they have no technical ability. Complete waste.

Whatever money saved from the slashing of the bonuses will be distributed by a co-efficient formula yet to be devised by GFA. They will find a way out to distribute the money to the vultures who parade around the GFA. In sum, no effect as there will be no savings. Money will be taken from the players to the administrators. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES THAT MAKE?
