They are in the majority, their skills mostly cannot sell in any country where there is competition and they think they can simply make us all equal through their mediocare ways! People will die and cannot be brought back if doctors dont work, but if the whole NDC or NPP collapses we will all simply be still alive! The poor masses who vote will continue dying simply because the likes of Kofi Adams and their hangers on cannot solve simply negotiation issues with professionals as they have never gone through or appreciate what it takes to be a medical officer. The masses who voted are the ones who will suffer, not sure any politician will directly suffer as they have enough cash to go to the private hospitals, 37 military hospital or the Police hospital. When NDC steals through dubious judgment debts it is crude, it is wrong and it is bad.
When NDC steals through inflated contracts it is very crude, very wrong and completely bad.
When NDC sends idiots to insult Ghanaian public sector workers, teachers, nurses, healthcare workers, farmers, students, the clergy, CSO's and in fact, every Ghanaian irrespective of his or her social or economic standing and collect free fuel, free call credit and free accommodation, it is obnoxiously crude, it is obscenely bad and it is egregiously very, very wrong.

THAT I WENT TO MY LATE FATHER THEOPHILUS AMU KOMLA AMEKUDZI FOR THE SCHOOL FEES AND MY LATE FATHER EXPRESSED THE DESIRE TO PAY THE FEES AND THEREFORE WROTE A LETTER AND GAVE IT TO ME TO GIVE TO THE LATE HEADMASTER THAT HE WAS GOING TO PAY THE SCHOOL FEES AT THE END OF THE MONTH AND THEREFORE THE LATE HEADMASTER TO CONSIDER ME TO BE ATTENDING THE SCHOOL TILL THE END OF THE MONTH. THAT SURPRISINGLY WHEN I GAVE THE LETTER TO THE LATE HEADMASTER HE NEVER EVEN OPENED THE LETTER TO READ AND TO KNOW THE CONTENTS BUT TEARED THE LETTER AND THE ENVELOPE IN MY PRESENCE AND SENT ME BACK TO COLLECT THE FEES AND ALSO INTIMATED THAT "AT THIS TIME THERE IS NO CONSIDERATION".
THAT WHEN I RETURNED TO MY LATE FATHER AND INFORMED ME OF WHAT TRANSPIRED THAT MY LATE FATHER JUST BROKE INTO TEARS AND STARTED CRYING IN MY PRESENCE AND SAID THAT "OH THE LATE HEADMASTER DID NOT TRUST HIM THAT HE WAS GOING TO PAY THE MONEY AT THE END OF THE MONTH !"
IN FACT, SINCE THAT DAY AND EVEN NOW AS I SEND THIS E-MAIL TEARS STARTED FLOWING FROM EYES AND I SAW CLEARLY FATHERLY LOVE FOR HIS SON".

Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association, Dr Justice Yankson has refused to comment on the president's latest remark except to say "I will respect my person and will not get into a banter with the president."

He would rather go into petty trading than be forced to return to the consulting room without acceptable conditions of service.

Addressing members of the Ghana Registered Midwives Association, GRWA at the launch of their 80th anniversary in Accra, president John Mahama said "Any agreements that are reached in respect of allowances or conditions of services would have to be appropriately captured in the budget."

"And I want to say for emphasis I will not authorize any expenditure on wages and compensation not provided for in the budget."

He does not want to break the spine of the Single Spine Salary Structure.

But the doctors are unfazed by the president's position on the matter. If anything, they are angry and have decided to carry through with their strike and possibly mass resignation.

Dr Justice Yankson told Joy News Matilda Wemegah they will withdraw emergency services on August 7, 2015 as they intensify a one-week strike action which has seen them withdraw OPD services.

They are preparing to resign en masse if their demands for conditions of service are not provided. In a move that will leave patients on bended knees, resident medical officers and house officers at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital have, after emergency meetings, today, given their full backing to the striking doctors.

They are also threatening to join the striking doctors.

The House officers normally handle minor cases in the absence of the doctors.

Meanwhile, labour expert Mohammed Affum has chided the president for the comment he made.

"If the posture of the president continues a lot of lives will be lost," he said on Joy FM's Top Story with Evans Mensah.

The answer is simple. The doctors do not trust the government.The government has a credibility problem. Most Ghanaians do not trust the government.After all the broken promises, incompetence and corruption if Mr Adamu does not understand why a professional body like GMA would embark on strike action in support on their legitimate demands then he perhaps he ought to get out of politics and train to become as doctor then perhaps he would understand.

These doctors are generally a lazy bunch who refuse to improve their medical knowledge even though advances in medicine from all over the world can be reached by anybody with access to the Internet. They continue to use the excuses of lack of equipment even for basic diseases like diabetes that can and should be properly managed with resources locally available. Instead these people have set up clinics, charging patients exorbitant prices, and partaking in money making procedures. In Ghana, the Hippocratic oath means nothing to these state-funded state-educated "hippocrates".

Ghanaians should rest assured that about 99% of the current doctors beyond houseman-ship in Ghana have nowhere to go because compared to their peers anywhere, they don't measure up! If they were any good and could make it anywhere, they would have gone like the rest of their classmates. They are simply "James Bonds" - they have licenses to kill, and don't have to answer to anybody! It is about time these hippocrates begin to understand that they are no better than any other citizen!

Any one who has kowledge of critical thinking would not speak like this. Poor performane can come from their training, hospital environment, equipments, patient background and other numerous issues. Think before you speak unless you are one of those stomach politicians or serial callers who get appointments or promotions for defending the government.
