In this 21st century, it is only in Africa that we see a president trying to clean gutters. Tweakai, where is wrong with us? When fools are at the helm of affairs, chaos become the order of the day.
Voluntary participation in cleanup exercise is not compulsory and the CEO should be left alone.

She should sue them for trespassing for entering her shop looking for workers, those people have no right to enter the store looking for the workers who did not break any law, what they did is lawlessness, the Chiefs have no right to summon anybody for not taking part in that exercise.
The Chiefs and the officials there may have lost their minds to wait for a so called sanitation day to clean their gutter they knew was chocked.

Well said. What constitutional authority do Chiefs have to summon anybody for any matter whatsoever? As you point out, they've allowed the filth to build up anyway. The Chiefs want to win favours from the govt.

The laws that combine chieftancy politics and Democracy in Ghana, conflict with each other and are not clearly defined. This system where chiefs have authority to summon people and impose sanctions on people is in total conflict with the principles of democracy. Until the time comes that all chiefs understand that they are just symbolic rulers and are not law enforcers, this country will remain backward. If chiefs can summon people by force, then what is the use of the courts?

If the queen of England tries to detain anyone or punish anyone, she will be arrested despite whatever royalty she belongs to. Until we get to that stage here, we're still wallowing in traditional confusion.

The Chiefs should be inviting those who have failed their responsibility to ensure we have clean environment as contracted and paid by the tax payer.
We should not use such nonsense of time wasting to victimize our citizens as there is no any law binding any one to partake to the cleaning nonsense, whilst the district assemblies and their paid staff sit to enjoy their criminally gotten wealth without shame of making Ghana the 7th filthiest country in the world.
