WHY ARE POLITICIANS NOT STRAIGHT FORWARD? UNIVERSITIES AND POLYTECHNICS HAVE LECTURERS WHO HAVE RETIRED, PASSED ON OR RESIGNED. THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS KEEPS INCREASING BUT WHENEVER THESE INSTITUTIONS WANT TO RECRUIT, THEY ARE TOLD THEY CAN'T. EVEN IF YOU MAKE THE MISTAKE OF EMPLOYING PEOPLE FOR PART TIME TEACHING, YOU ARE QUERIED. SO WHAT IS TERKPER TELLING US? THROWING DUST INTO OUR EYES. PLEASE LEARN TO SPEAK THE TRUTH. WE HAVE HUNDREDS OF APPLICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT AS LECTURERS AND THERE ARE MANY SPACES IN THE UNIVERSITIES AND POLYTECHNICS. EMPLOY THEM AND LET'S SEE. LECTURERS ARE SUFFOCATING UNDER THE LOAD AND THEIR HEALTH IS CLEARLY AFFECTED. STOP TELLING LIES FOR ONCE PLEASE!!

Go read Animal Farm. Squealer was a very good propagandist. "Ghanaians never knew that there was no ban on employment. It is today we are being told. All Ghanaians dreamt that there was a ban and so refused to be employed"

I am neither an accountant nor an economist BUT from a lay man point of view I can see that Ghana's companies and especially civil and public services are over staffed. There are a lot of waste in the system. Visit the ministries 1000s of staff working from one place to the other, some placing drought, ludo, cards, etc, some eating and others sitting in the office doing NOTHING. If Ghana were a company how do you balance the books and make profit or break-even. if so called qualified accountants like Terper who are running the country, can't see what is happening them we are in serious serious trouble see

There are huge vacancies for jobs within the public sector; the security agencies need to absorb more...the health sector needs to take in more....several government agencies have so many vacancies; it is a big shame that you are unable to expand work force because you have not grown the economy. Few people are doing work meant for so many people in most sectors especially health, the security agencies, the judiciary and agriculture sector. There are areas that seem workers are redundant but NO...this is NOT actually the case; the reason is, they have nothing do their job. Go to PWD for example...you will find the best artisans in the country, very experienced workers but they go tobwork and sleep. Can't for example, carpenters in PWD be given some money to provide furniture for schools? When we were kids we saw PWD and Highways staff filling pot-wholes and fixing the roads all the time. AESL staff have the best Engeers but government refuses to use them.... Rather the little government can provide goes to government cronies under the pretence of PPP. NDC/Mahama is only abusing every good initiative. This government is worse in terms of job creation. This government lacks initiave and very lazy. A government that only knows how to contact loans and squander under the money under pretence of infrastructural development. This is very shameful...Mr. Finance Minister.
