  In Ghana if you dont have money your sentence to crime is very strict and according to the books.
  Cassava and plantain thieves are more often given heavy sentences.This judge must be bribed and be probed.

  Judge Obiri, I think you've been lenient with your sentence. This bank manager criminal did not deserve any kind of lenience whatsoever, considering the circumstance of his crime. He stole the bank customers' savings with the bank that he was the Manager. Secondly, for you to cite the loss or forfeiture of all his 28 years of working for the bank entitlement as your reason for sentencing him to one year hard labour prison term is illogical to say the least. You should have thrown the book at him by giving him more than the one year you gave him to set an example of him.
  Even though we want judges to exercise leniency during sentencing, not every crime commited should receive lenient sentence.

  Wonderful judgement. Only God knows. The sociologist are right. Justice Obiri may you live long to pass such verdict, next time it will be your money.
