Parliament is very important so far as our constitutiin is concerned,we are in democracy which we all need to accept that parliament is an important part of our democracy.
It is a disgrace for such a thing to happen, many of us are sick and tired of this power problem which is not seeing an end.

The wickedness of the evil men will never end , in fact they are so bad that God like Saul puts scales on their eyes so they can not see the righteous or cause us harm . They get caught up in their own lies and evil conspiracies but forget we have a memory. Did they not claim that Mills was found in a pool of blood after over 30 mins , now they say he had intracranial bleeding yet even a toddler knows there is no external bleeding in internal bleeding . The lies and the contradictions are endless , the same way the white man/ arabs found black brothers to sell their own so have the pepeni/ayigbe mafia found dirty betraying traitors among the Akans to help them destroy and keep in poverty their own people . These quasi fake intellectuals we will purge from our midst in the war we shall surely have as tribalism . always eventually leads to war . Why doesn't pepeni now employ Fantis as his body guards and security men as Mills only had pepeni/ayigbe as his security , he didn't study the deaths of the Gandhis its seems .Pepeni/ayigbe Ndc knows they now have the support of less than 15% so are now trying to bring doubt in the decision of the majority to remove them from there even if it means war as the Babylon bondage of our people will end . To you pepeni /ayigbe wicked evil pharoahs we say , let our people go now and resign before its too late. This voice in the wilderness of your corruption and incompetence can never be silenced and notice how loud the whisper of the truth is. God will see us through to the land of milk and honey by giving us our freedom so we can prosper. This foolish experiment called Ghana is over and we the Akans will soon be free of this unhappy bad-luck marriage created by men not God. Soon the whole of the African continent will see the way to unity is to break the shackles of these colonial artificial borders and be free

Barely a week ago workers of ECG expressed strong displeasure over the sale and transfer to outside investors. Yes, for our democracy to function well the works of these lawmakers should be regard as important. However, temporary power off to disrupt their sitting for a day or two does not equals to the hardships hospitals, schools and factories are facing due to this energy mess. After all how many of them attend this sitting each day. They (from both parties) hop from one television or radio station to another while sitting is in progress.

Ghanaians are very jovial and accommodating. See how we laugh at this electricity problem by coining a word for it, "dumsor". This is the natural survival mechanism in the Ghanaian that is lacking in other countries. We make fun of our very difficulties and laugh them off. What else can we do than to exercise patience for the solution? The electricity problem can be traced to the socialist path the country chose at independence. Everything had been relatively free or subsidized. Beginning from 1986 when Ghana actually made a turn for true capitalism, all the free lunches have been gradually withdrawn, and the Ghanaian is only now coming to grips with the fact that there is no free lunch now even in Nkrumah's Ghana. There is no way that Kwame Nkrumah's Ghana can ever be brought back. Which is why both NDC and NPP are both similar and why CPP can no longer find space. "Dumsor" in "Job 600" in the days of Kwame Nkrumah, would have been unthinkable. But times have changed. The world has changed, and Ghana must continue to be.

Agree with you. We let politicians take us for fools. Returning Mahama to power in 2016 will be the heights of lunacy on the part of Ghanaians.
But something tells me it is possible - because of the voting patterns of Ghanaians. Tribal consideration dictates how Ghanaians vote. Even if Mahama turns the lights off for straight six months, 90% of the people of Volta will vote for him. It is the same way that majority of Ashanti's will vote in favour of NPP even if the party is represented by a dog.
Yes it is totally senseless, but that is the reality of our distorted democracy. We should expect politicians to take us for a ride for a very long time.

Ghana needs to be re colonised by the white man because the black man cannot run his affairs. This is the case because we refuse to think and use our brains. All our leaders are concerned about is borrowing and stealing the country's resources under fancy programmes like 'capacity building' which lacks detailed analysis and accountability, the squandering of our oil resources, thinking of party and power instead of country and the welfare of its people, boasting as achievements for supplying boxes of chalk to schools FOR BLACKBOARDS when the schools of other competing nations are using IT WHITEBOARDS.
We are a people without vision and until we rise up and throw these politicians known as greedy bastards out of office by force, we will be consigned to the anals of POVERTY simply because a few individuals have decided Ghana's fate through LOOTING BRIGADES OF GARGANTUAN PROPORTIONS.

The result is both parties are not performing.

But will Akuffo Addo and his party make such a gesture for the sake of Ghanaians wellbeing?
