This article seems to confuse tidal energy with wave energy!. They are two completely different technologies and should not be confused.

This is a good initiative. But I believe bio energy would have been better to help convert all the waste we generate into energy.

The government is trying to generate energy by all means possible. So you just dont sit there and say bio energy or solar energy. Yes they are all exploring all this natural resource to be able to produce energy. It is the same everywhere. Here in Sweden they produce energy from different form of energy source. so please be positive small.

Oh massa. We all are in Europe oh and we know what is going on. Is it not easy and considering the amount of waste we have to generate energy from that rather than going for tidal energy. Sweden, Finland and others are generating energy from the resources the is easy for them to access. Why can't we do the same. Currently we are ranked among the dirtiest countries in the world. Going for bio or solar would be like killing two birds with one stone. So please don't tell others to be positive is you have nothing positive to say yourself.

God will NOT allow you to succeed in whatever plan you have to destroy Ghana in the name of JESUS!!!

Crooks have sprung up to use our energy situation to deceive Ghanaians and the NDC government in their desperation are endorsing what they know to be wrong. This Anthony Opoku guy is an ex-convict who has served a 12 year jail term for cocaine trafficking in Thailand. Let the media question him whether this is true or not and he can't deny because it is true.

Renewable energy means sustainable energy, & sustainable-energy future definitely does not include significant fossil fuel energy .
Ghana' s future must therefore vigorously search for renewable sources made up of sustainable - energy development & consumption patterns. We are talking here of trying all the mix of renewables - solar, geothermal, wind, bio-fuels, waste-to -energy conversion systems, & OTEC.
OTEC stands for Ocean Thermal-Energy Conversion.
Over much of the world's oceans, a thermal gradient of about 20 degrees Celsius (36 degrees Fahrenheit) exists between surface water hated by the Sun and the colder deep water. OTEC is an emerging technology that uses this temperature difference to produce power. It surely hold great promise for our coastal cities, towns & villages.
I envisage OTEC power plants littered in our Ghanaian littoral making dumsor a forgotten memory.

Tidal wave or Sea wave cannot generate power even up to 30 megawatts. Common sense should tell us that If it was real, all the developed countries will turn to the technology because the ocean never dries and it is free. Nigeria needs power so badly and the ocean is lying free? Seawave will corrode any metal on contact that is why we are depending on Akosombo. It is a sham and the NDC government is aware but they want to divert attention.
I hope that the Test will be truly successful
