Are you even sure Mr. Derek did not sell her to the Kuwaitis? because from her explanation she was of the status of a slave.

Blame the wholesaler of this slave trade (Mr. Derek). He is the black man who does not value the life of his fellow black.

If you sell your brother or sister to a stranger, what do you expect the stranger to do?

Mr. Derek should be arrested. Even though I blame the Kuwaiti master for such treatment, I will appropriate 90 per cent of the blame to Mr Derek.

Look at what happened in south africa. It was not arabs or whitemen who were doing the burning. It was blacks burning blacks.

The employer pays for everything and that is why they will not release you until you have finished your contract (most cases 2 years).These agencies are just crooks, evil and ripping people off. To the arab, so long as he is your employer, he has all the rights. It does not matter whether you are black or white. There are Filipinos here who are also treated like slaves and they are also white. I will not advise anyone to travel to any part of the arab world and work as a maid, driver or a construction worker. I currently work in the UAE as a British expat teacher but born and bred in Ghana. To all my fellow Ghanaians, do not be lured into travelling to any part of the middle east for such jobs. I have visited a few Ghanaians in the construction industry and their place of abode is very very bad but they are stuck.

So why should Ghana reduced our girls to such a low level to officially send our people to such disrespectful known racist countries as maid servants?

There has been such horrible inhuman treatment to girls the Mahama led government allowed to be recruited to these racist Arab countries only to find themselves as bought slaves in the 21st century with abuse of their human rights.

Such heart touching horrific stories goes on and on everyday and our foreign ministry headed by a woman for that matter put death ears to the terrible conditions to these innocent girls as if Ghanaian live does not worth to protect.

Sinare have to be appreciated, though he did what is just his duty to protect Ghanaians under his ambassadorial jurisdiction in such difficult circumstance.

The government must ensure that the 18/20 contract is stopped and all our girls brought home otherwise we will have no right to fight for the Nigerian captured girls to be freed as our girls find themselves in same predicament yet we keep silence.

If any Ghanaian is promised a job in any of these Arab-slavemaster situations and they don't give you a contract of employment with a stated salary then, who ever is arranging it for you is simply selling you into slavery. Yet, the scams continue to be implemented. I wish to call on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Gender and Social Protection and the so-called recruitment agencies to these areas, should come together to fashion out a policy on these problem.
