Why Loans won't help Ghana
India remains poor despite receiving over $30billion. Bangladesh is the world's 3rd highest recipient of loans, and the world's 3rd poorest. Argentina is the 3rd highest recipient of Imf loans, and yet their GDP has remained relatively the same since 1958. Only Russia and South Korea have had better fortunes. They diversified their economies, placed emphasis on strong rule of law and strong policy making, and tackled public sector corruption. This is what Ghana must do. Always relying on external loans to bail you out of your primitive behavior is unwise.

yES WE SHOULD COPY GREECE - THE GREECE PEOPLE HAVE GOT SENSE BECAUSE THEY KNOW THE IMF CONDITIONS WILL KILL THEM BUT HERE IN GHANA OUR STUPID GOVERNMENT beleives evertything thewhite man tells them so runs to the IMF like headless chickend and let the IMF tell trhem what to do and that is why we have thge so-called dereulation othe pertoluem sector, the lay off of workers and the freeze on public sector employment, stop in subsidising the electricity and gas and this is why they have privatied the ECG which will result in higher energy bills for Ghanaians and also becuase they have de-regulated the petroluem sector, the price of petrol will go up every month, as a result the price of food, school fees, transporatation and other things will go up - GOD HELP GHANA - WE WILL BE LIKE GREECE!!

there is no stabile economic base to the cedi appreciating against any hard currency and come 2016 in election year (when NDC starts to chp and spend on electioneering) you see the rate plummet.
