KNUST failed to rusticate and report to the police a female student who beat up her roommate; the lecturers have been bought. It has been said that many lecturers lack teaching methodologies. What should be the minimum requirement in recruiting lecturers into a tertiary institution? Is it a masters degree or a PhD with a course in education??

Professors in tertiary institutions must read GES directives. There are many important and useful GES directives which would help them.

GES banned all forms of corporal punishment in Educational institutions but there are reports that some tertiary institutions are still carrying out this practice. Asking students to kneel down and so on.

Lecturers in tertiary institutions must recognize the fact that students in these institution are adults.

You guys don't know anything yet you criticize our education system anywhere. It is true we have not been able to transform our economy with our education but the issue is not entirely the education system. Graduates do not get the opportunity to showcase their talents. Stop deluding yourself, being a graduates is not about English Mr English man. There is a standard spending or if you limit of of GDP one has to spend on its sectors. For example according to the Maputo declaration, Africa country members are suppose to spend about 10% at least of their of annual GDP on agriculture so if the country does say 11% of GDP; it has spend the necessary amount. Bear in mind that the amount of total GDP in a molley mollet country like useless Nigeria will not be the same as Ghana. For Nigeria it can be attributed to the total number of population such that If Ghana have 2 people producing cassava on 2 acres of land you don't expect the same number of revenue to be goten from 8 people producing on 8 acres of land. That is simple as that. For Singapore they are highly developed than Ghana many times and their GDP is huge so even if thy spent 2% of their GDP it will be like 15% of Ghana's GDP. Hence quoting money in monetary terms without reference to GDP is ingenuity. For the Nigerians, we want to let you know descent people from your country who fears their children future send them to Ghana. Nonsense what is so difficult about Nigeria university that any below average student from Ghana cannot enter? Or the sex grades your student get or the armed robbery you train your scholars to be. Get life Niger man. Nigeria is failed state.
