You wished you were something other than African, and it shows. It's just sad.
But, William just take an ownership interest in your self plus all that the African represents and gave mankind- we birthed it, never forget that - and you'll just be fine.
And, don't forget, mankind's progress has it's own life cycle.Africans turn is around the corner.
Chin up young man, you and your Africans turn would come up before you know it.
And, trust me on this one. This is not a feel good mindset, it's a belief.

That is why democracy came to level the ground but unfortunately for Ghana, we have voted fools who ideally should have been oppressed in the feudal system. DANQUAH-BUSIA TRADITION SHOULD BOW DOWN THEIR HEADS IN SHAME FOR CONSPIRING WITH THE WEST TO TOPPLE NKRUMAH. NKRUMAH'S CPP GOVERNMENT REMAINS THE BEST IN OUR HISTORY. THE MOTIVE OF THE WEST WAS TO TOPPLE NKRUMAH AND RESTRUCTURE OUR ECONOMY TO MAKE IT DEPENDENT ON THE ECONOMY OF THE WEST.GHANA HAS NOW BECOME THE DUMPING GROUND FOR MANUFACTURED GOODS OF THE WEST. THE WEST ENSURES THAT WE DO NOT ADD VALUE TO OUR RAW MATERIALS THROUGH MANUFACTURING BECAUSE GHANA (AND AFRICA) SHOULD REMAIN THEIR MARKET. THEY HAVE PUT VARIOUS IMPEDIMENTS IN OUR WAY TO ENSURE THAT WE DO NOT DEVELOP BUT CONTINUE TO DEPEND ON THEM FOR EVERYTHING. WHEN ANY AFRICAN LEADER TRIES TO CHANGE THE STATUS QUO, THEY ALIGN WITH THE OPPOSITION PARTY, FOMENT TROUBLE AND DEPOSE THE AFRICAN LEADER.THEY DEPOSED NKRUMAH,GADAFI, LUMUMBA. LIFE IN GHANA DURING THE DAYS OF NKRUMAH WAS SO GOOD ECONOMICALLY AND GHANAIANS WERE SO SATISFIED THAT THY WERE NOT TRAVELLING TO STAY OUTSIDE BUT NOW LIFE IN GHANA IS VERY DIFFICULT FOR THE MAJORITY.
DANQUAH-BUSIA TRADITION PARTLY CONTRIBUTED TO THIS UNPLEASANT SITUATION SO THEY SHOULD BOW DOWN THEIR HEADS IN SHAME.

He of the man who-without any credentials and of any known pedigree- sold off the very industrial assets he inherited for pennies on the dollar to his crony capitalists.
And, this usurper don't look and talk like any of the writers on this blog.
But, he cowered the populace for almost twenty years through contempt and fear.
KN only ruled Ghana for just nine years, folks!
Anytime , and everytime I see him and hear his boisterous, orchestrated harrangues of contempt for his epiphanies of probity and accountability it makes me cringe.
This is the man who should be brought before the courts, if the populace would have the sense to scrap the "indemnity clause" under his orchestrated constitution. And, he even had the chutzpah to insert into the national anthem " to fight oppressors " rule.
What does he take us for? Fools?,
Man, how I wished he lives in Latin America. They know what to do with traitors!

But at the slightest opportunity we affirm this view by upholding things to do with imperialism. Don't we have heroes of our own? Many years after colonialism, our minds are still not free. It is still colonised. Teach the children about imperialism and the damage it did to Africa. When the Second World War is celebrated in the west, there's not s single mention of Africa. As if African who died fighting in Burma never even existed. Think guys, think!

When European swallow their goof and praise the same as a good meal you ask yourself so these are the people who call themselves the wise men of our world. Magna Carta did not abolish slavery, colonization, imperialism, neocolonialism, racial segregation, apartheid and neoglobalism a forceful form of neocolonialism. Thus Magna Carta did not give back to man the dignity that the monarchy took from him.

I daresay, Nana Nketsia, as an eminent historian, knows a little bit more about the Magna Carta than you.
If the Magna Carta has nothing to do with Britain's colonial past, just ask yourself this question: If it was meant to underpin democracy what were the British doing using the power of the gun to conquer our people, exploit us for centuries and not bother to foster democracy in that period? Or were the principles purportedly espoused by the Magna Carta just for white people?
I would urge you to research the Magna Carta and its historical fallout before you come to this forum and expose your own ignorance.

The Paramount Chief of Essikadu Traditional Area, Nana Kobena Nketsiah V, does not think the rights of the individual is that important, as prescribed by the Magna Carta. I am not surprised by that statement because the chief fails to grasp the significance of the document. Like him, King John felt he was above the law and that's the reason why the Barons forced the King to sign the Magna Carta at Runnymede in 1215. This document is the basis of the constitutions of numerous nations, including the Bill of Rights of the US constitution. So when this chief discredits the Magna Carta as not relevant to the African, then he is refuting good governance. The Magna Carta in of itself cannot contribute to human society, as the chief demands, but such contributions come from those who live by the ideals of the document.

You hit the nail right Martin.
The paramount believe that there should be no accountability by any ruler in the African set up system.Chiefs and so called kings sell people's land in their jurisdiction or areas, pockets the money meant for the whole communities so that they can build massive mansions and palaces like himself, send their children to the best schools and unis both home and abroad without any accountability to the very people who owns the lands.
Also "as Africans" as the chief wants all of us to believe that,we are different from the best systems which exist outside our continent which have solved problems elsewhere is irrelevant to our needs.
Look at how many Africans are perishing as a result of trying to reach paradise Europe on the Mediterranean sea?Has any leaders or kings or chiefs spoke of this or meet to discuss how best we can as a proud people stop this unfortunate happening?
Again take the ebola pandemic which started last year in W/Africa,had it not being WHO and other western countries and NGOs,this disease would still be spreading like a wide fire killing more people.
If the chief believe that Magna Carta is not an Africa thing, like he and others who believe in that,Civil Wars will be the other way forward.Since the any group of people who have no voice will fight for their freedoms and lands,AND THAT WILL SERVE NO ONE INTERESTS.

Nana is not saying that human rights are not important. He says our African traditional systems are about our responsibilities to one another and to society.
Nana is right because today under democratic governance, people seem to be more interested in asserting their rights to go on strike and demonstrations than fulfill their responsibilities to society. The consequence is the problems we face.
The Magna Carta has little relevance to us. The British certainly did not believe in any democratic principles
it may have espoused when they were colonising us and indulging in the abomination of the slave trade.
Let us look to our own traditional systems of governance which were based on consensus and responsibility to society.
