What`s the good idea in here? In any country, there are private institutions right from the nursery to higher institutions. Even the very few government universities in the country, the government can`t handle them. Why then extend hands on the private ones. We don`t need bigger governments but rather smaller governments is good for us.

THIS PRESIDENT HAS NEVER SPOKEN COMMON SENSE YET HE,S MADE TO THINK,BY FOOLS, THAT HE MAKES A LOT OF SENSE.EVEN USA AND UK ETC.,WITH GOOD FACILITIES FOR QUALITY EDUCATION,HAVE PRIVATE SCHOOLS KNOWING FULL WELL THAT GOVT CANNOT DO IT ALL.GHANA GOVT.CANNOT EFFICIENTLY RUN THE EXISTING PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND INSTEAD OF THINKING TO ADEQUATELY RESOURCE THEM, HES THINKING OF ABSORBING THE PRIVATE ONES.
WHAT GOVT.SHOULD DO WITH EXISTING AND WOULD BE PRIVATE SCHOOLS IS TO GIVE THEM STANDARD REQUIREMENTS TO MEET AND THESE SHOULD BE RELIGIOUSLY CHECKED AND MONITORED,NO BRIBES,BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO FUNCTION.I KNOW THESE STANDARDS,IF ADEQUATE,ARE SET BUT FOR BRIBES AND CORRUPTION,NO ONE CHECKS AND MONITORS TO ENSURE STANDARDS ARE MAINTAINED PROGRESSIVELY.WHAT A COUNTRY,NOTHING IS PROPERLY DONE.

The government can't even fulfill the grant to current public institutions, so why would Mahama want to put additional burden on the national purse? It is a crazy idea!

Ethiopia is building 3 new airports, cost=64.5 Million dollars. Ghana is is building an airport terminal, cost =230 million dollars. What is wrong with this picture? When will you our so called leaders be truthful and faithful to us the masses of this country for once? CORRUPTION has seeped into the very DNA of our leaders, they cannot be truthful even if that will save their lives.
If only you our leaders will stop stealing, we could accomplish all these infrastructure deficit you talk about.

Mr. Mahama, what is your real reason for absorbing the five private educational institutions?. Whatever reason you come up with, its will not meet common sense test. You know damn well that Ghana is already a bankrupt nation. It is broke and its as poor as a church mouse. My advice to you is, if the management of the five private institutions have failed to put the institutions on sound footings, you have no business going to bail them out. They are not Government or public institutions, they are private institutions, so, just let them go out business i.e. close down. I believe the money that you intend to spend to absorb those institutions could be best used for general public needs such as better roads construction, improvement on 'dumsor' etc. or it is another means to line your pocket with our money.
