I thought with our experience with the Volta River Project and our reliance solely of "God", we would have learned some lessons. Why don't we diversify into other areas. In one hydroelectric project I saw in a remote area of the US, the water (from the so-called Great Lakes) is actually recycled.

Folks we need the cheap hydro power to run our aluminium industry. If this country is to make it into the big league of an industrialised one, it will be on the back of an aluminium based platform. Don't mind if these guys are running with now, it will be continued. We should develop most of our hydro potential using the PPP concept to fast track the process. So let it be!

Instead, the money should rather be invested in SOLAR ENERGY which is a more reliable source of power and which will take less time to complete.

This is stupid, shorted and waste of money. Where are the brains of my people? Don't we have enough hydro electrical projects already in Ghana? Why can't we think outside the box and have a good mix sources of energy? Will someone get these people out of there? They have no intelligence to run a nation. There are several hydro sources of energy, yet the nation wallows in worse darkness since I was born and you want to build more when hydro sources of energy always depends on rains. What sense does it make when we can invest into sources such as thermal, solar, among others.

Please evaluate the seasonality of the water levels of the river. Is it going to be useful in the dry season? Take a cue from Bui dam. We may not be able to rely on natural factors any longer. Otherwise a healthy idea
