Anytime a ministere calls for much needed reform, you ask for that minister to be sacked. That will not happen.
It is no longer tenable to pay some civil servants to train whiles others have to bear the cost of training themselves. Government can no longer such wasteful expenditure. pay to train like any other line of work.
If you choose to be a teacher, pay to have yourself trained.

YOU SEE YOUR STUPIDITY AS TEACHCERS? When the delegates from the Ministry of education visited the training schools in Ashante region to see the problems you have there and help you solve them, what did you and your stupid trainees do to them? For me what are your responsibilities as teachers? You rather take huge studies fees and expect government to provide even the chalk you need. How can you be taking studies fees by force from students and yet you cannot organize money for chalk.
These teachers are so useless! If that is your reason for asking the minister to resign then I'm so sorry for you. THEY ARE BEHAVING LIKE ILLITERATES AND FOOLS.

Please, let us look at the issue critically comparing her regime to the previous regimes what improvement has been brought to the sector, if there is any improvement what has brought the low performance of our brothers and sisters in schools, what measures has she taken to improve the situation, if that is the way a leader who claim to be a professor in education will lead in the area we believe she is well equipped then I guess we are not serious and I therefore join hands in calling for her resignation because she has failed us.

Prof Opoku Agyeman is just being used as a stooge in the same way that Fritz Baffuor and his predecessor were his puppets at the Min of Information when Okudzeto Ablakwa was a deputy Info minister but appeared to have all the answers and take all the decisions. Anyone remember when Fritz Baffuor MCed a press conference called by Okudzeto Ablakwa regarding some ridiculous judgement debts in 2012? How often does anyone hear Prof speak about Education? It is always Okudzeto and rarely Alex Kyeremeh her two deputies. This only happens in Africa.Tweaaa

In Ghana only the qualification get people a post in the Government but experience and knowledge hardly. Those in diaspora who are capable to give our children a better start in life through meaningful form of education will not get that post . Therefore we have people like her and her deputy Ablakwa Okudzeto to run the fate of our future generation. Both of them are not fit for purpose and must resign gracefully from office. I am really not surprise about his evenets at all. In fact it has come too l;ate to rescue if there is anything to rescue though.

There was a time in Ghana ownership of a call/communication center was “the it” for most people until the market became saturated with a bunch of idiots who would not know cleanliness and or customer service if it slapped them in the face; demise of the industry was assured.
Today we have social groups of disrepute falling off branches of some despicable tree to express illogical concerns or dissatisfaction of government for a buck from their puppet masters; it will surely come to pass as well. Ghana's education was not up to standards in civilized industrialized nations prior to the early 80's but was made worse by Rawlings and Co when years at K-12 institutions was slashed; we now have students at secondary/colleges who cannot wipe their you-know-what when in restrooms trying to gain access to our ill-equipped post secondary institutions/universities.
When would it acceptable for these social Teachers groups if students at K12 institutions demanded the firing of lousy and unprepared teachers whenever they failed at local or national exams? Where in Ghana can these ill-mannered teachers point to self initiated work at schools to help better the learning of students? How many of these concerned teachers would not steal available but limited school supplies or would let electronic gadgets stay in school if ever available at their schools for use to teach students? Blaming government is easy and does not take much brain but a little bribery from interested parties. It is hard, however, to do some good in society or contribute. It starts with sacrifices for the younger generation by our generation, paying our taxes, not making illegal and or unauthorized electricity connections or water connections; it starts with being real concerned citizens who bring solutions to the table.
