What is coming clean here, being affiliated with a church that condones a behavior considered "non-biblical" is the problem here. No amount of explanation can convince anybody otherwise. Rev. Nkansah acts like the church he pastor's is his personal property so he is afraid he might lose his bread and butter, please spare us this hegemony. Also, he knows very well that Rev. Dr. Yaw Frimpong Manso is New York because of his personal gain and nothing else. He is not there because he cares, it is purely financial.
Even the world says "show me your friend and I'll show you your character", I believe who you mingle and play with says a lot about the kind of person you are. Go join PCA or RPC because PCUSA in not the only presbyterian denominated church in the US. There other presbyterian denomination that follow the Bible in the country. When the Anglican denomination in the US did what the PCUSA has done, the true bible believing churches in the group broke off to put themselves under the church in Nigeria, why can't Rev. Nkansah do the same if what he is saying is to be believed. This all financial, period.

All i will say is, time reveals all truth and all evil. Rev. Martey will be held accountable to the Lord for all his deeds and those of us observing are just praying for him and his band of followers who follow blindly. Again lack of Knowledge some cannot think and read the bible for themselves and test the tongue that talks in Gods name... what ever deeds that are done in secret to man are never secret to God. Martey will soon be past Moderator, soon as he leaves office he will see the legacy and shame he built for himself. Dr. Frimpong-Manso to date has left a legacy that will be remembered for years to come, just like that of Papa Prempeh and others. Let us all watch and pray that we dont offend our Maker who is all knowing and all seeing.

But i humbly ask that you measure the issue of the "Constitutional Change" facing the CGPCNA with the same MORAL measure that you have used to dissect this issue.
The attempts to change a constitution to favor one individual does not auger well for some of us. We could debate this issue for ever and it will not change the facts in the case. Some of us have only deduced that you the leaders in our conference are acting without knowing the details of the case involving the pastor from Maryland and his former church member. Like i said, this is not the place to debate this issue but it bothers me that you're applying the principles of morality and genuiness here but you're failing to apply it in another case that falls under your jurisdiction.
Thanks

May God bless Rev Dr Yaw Nkansa and the Very Rev Dr Frimpong Manso. Christianity has some great Evangelists, Teachers, Prophets, Pastors, who were radical Muslims before they got converted. My question is; if they were shunned or avoided or ignored, would we have had them in the church today??
Moreover,if Apostle Paul were to be around today, what would he do about this situation ? Would he have done what Rev Martey is doing?? Would he shun the PCUSA or see the problem as an avenue to reach out to the few who accept same sex marriage and bring them to CHRIST ??
Again, how will Rev Martey and his PCG Pastors reach out to the unsaved in USA and other part of the world?? There are so many questions for Rev Martey but......,time will tell. shalom !!!

I bring to your attention psalms 111:9-9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. Now how can anyone be serious about a man who self appoints the title of the Almighty in front of his name? If these so called educated men of god were really so they would not use GOD'S title for he is the only one to be revered. This is a simple proof of the many wolves in sheep's clothing out there. 99% of these characters are not of the true gospel. Why do people not see these verses and heed to them ?,,,,Matthew
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Again you must open your eyes these men are not of the true Father.

Pew research published in 2014 the decline in Christian religion to non- believes. This is a worrying sign as a believer of the Gospel who has been tasked to go and make disciples, by loving and setting ourselves as an example. Pew estimates there are about 5 million fewer mainline Protestants than there were in 2007. How do we set ourselves as an example to love so our lifestyles would encourage converts and people to accept our faith? I think PCG should focus on the mission to get more converts rather than engage in Christian politics. The postmodern era changes the dynamics of people and religion. In Jonah chapter 3. “Then the word of the LORD came to Jonah a second time: 2 “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.” So does the moderator of PCG, Rev.Martey stands as an obstacle to God? Sometimes the lord calls people to out of their comfort zones. That’s the preparation of the Lord who are we “mere mortals” to obstruct the plans of the omnipotent during his calling.

So, the "Obroni" Churches welcome Homosexuals because Jesus preached "Salvation" to all. Why employ Jesus message of salvation in accepting homosexuals, lesbians, the entire gamut of LGBT; and yet, refuse to accord similar acceptance to Africans who wish to be polygamous? If polygamy should remain sinful; why remove homosexuality from the list!
I find it ridiculous that Africans readily accept received ideas, even when such ideas run contrary to common sense, and against their own better judgment.
Suppose the Obroni missionaries who came to Ghana and elsewhere in Africa, had encountered Homosexuality and Lesbianism among their Africans believers? Imagine what their reaction would have been. These missionaries lied a lot about our culture; and wrote so much negative things about a culture they did not understand. That, there is hardly a mention of homosexuality in their diatribe against Africans means the practice is un-African, and un-Biblical (as presented to Africans by Obroni). I believe this forms the basis of the Ghana Presby Church Moderator’s insistence that those Churches that believe otherwise, ipso facto, preach the wrong message. He may not be alone.
The main issue is, I think, about POWER and MONEY, and significantly less about who sleeps with whom, and with how many partners. Perhaps the Presby Church in Ghana wishes (as it ought) to bring all Ghanaian Presby Churches of the Ghana Diaspora under its umbrella and governance. Perhaps those who set up these Ghana Presby Churches in the Diaspora do not wish to cede all power and control to the Church in Ghana. This thorny issue afflicts nearly all Ghana Diaspora Churches which claim antecedents to particular Churches in Ghana. Some in the Diaspora therefore, decide to find artificial ‘mother’ Churches in the USA to partner. And it is regrettable that a former moderator of the Presby Church in Ghana should fall a prey to that temptation, and thereby be seen as providing holy imprimatur to that practice, which after all, run counter to the interest, welfare, and potential financial sustainability of the MOTHER CHURCH in Ghana.

Rev. Martey is a coward and evil, just pushing his personal agenda at the expense of PCG and Ghanaian Presbyterians in the diaspora. It is totally understandable that the Bible defines marriage as between man and woman. I will say this that our Ghanaian culture teaches us that marriage is between man and woman, it does not matter, if the person is a Moslem, Christian, Atheist, as long as the person is a Ghanaian, that is what the culture teaches us. It is hard to imagine a Ghanaian who goes against this strong cultural values of ours in any direction. I also say so with a little hesitation because of the world order today when it comes to marriage because the world social order is changing.
For his position and pronouncements against PCUSA and its affiliated Ghanaian Presbyterian Churches, Rev. Martey should not only formally severe ties with PCUSA but also withdraw all his (PCG) pastors who are in PCUSA seminaries, teaching or schooling, some of whom are, Rev. Dr. John Azumah at Columbia Theological Seminary, Atlanta as a teacher, Rev. Herbert Oppong, the immediate past Clerk of the General Assembly of PCG who immediately after leaving office entered Columbia Theological Seminary, Atlanta for a Doctor of Ministry program. What a shame, preaching against someone and at the same time dealing clandestinely with them by using their resources.
I do not believe that Rev. Martey has ever come across the word “hypocrite” anytime, anywhere in his life. Not in the Bible, and not in the secular world. Rev. Herbert Oppong completed his term as the clerk of General Assembly at the time when Rev. Martey was in office and shouting and talking loudly about PCUSA’s decisions and also about severing ties with PCUSA, how then can the same Rev. Martey approve for Rev. Oppong (or Rev. Oppong himself) who was the second in command at PCG enroll in a PCUSA seminary?
There are many more of PCG pastors in other seminaries and we are conducting a search for them. It will serve Rev. Martey well if he recalls all of them home.
Second, the President of USA has declared his support for the LGBT community. In fact, his wife also recently congratulated a sports man who openly declared that he is gay. Most States in the USA have made same sex marriage legal. The Supreme Court, the highest court of the land will soon take up the issues once again. The likely outcome will be that it will be illegal for States to ban same sex marriage. A southern State like Georgia, a largely Republican base, would not put up a fight against any decision the by the Supreme Court. The Governor of State of Georgia has stated.
How it is then that Rev. Martey is loud about PCUSA and not USA as well. He has the guts to travel to the USA, a country that openly supports LGBT. He comes in and goes as he goes to his wife’s kitchen. Why is he not condemning USA and other countries that have made their positions clear on this social issue? Rev. Martey has the guts to visit Rev. Dr. Azumah at Columbia Theological Seminary but will not say hello to the President of the Seminary at the request of Dr. Azuma because it is a PCUSA Seminary. Why then is Dr. Azuma at Columbia? How do you enter the territory of a sinner who you so hate? This is the truth about Rev. Martey.
In a country where illegal immigration is a big issue, Rev. Martey has appointed some illegal immigrants to lead his churches in the USA, providing work for illegal immigrants. Is this sinful or Biblical? We know all of them and they also have the guts to talk against Ghanaian PCUSA churches! Is this hypocrisy or job well done? Romans 13 tells us to “submit to governing authorities.” Is Rev. Martey not breaking the laws of the land?
I would rather not talk about the humble and affable Rev. Dr. Frimpong-Manso but for the comments that some of you have made, I would like to add my voice here. The church where Papa Frompong-Manso is the pastor has worked with many PCG pastors. Rev. Dr. Kwame Amoa-Kumah is the one who preceded Papa Frimpong-Manso. To my knowledge, the arrangements for a replacement for Rev. Amoa-Kumah started before Rev. Martey took office. The said arrangements dragged on for a while and well into Rev. Martey’s tenure and so Rev. Martey must have approved for Papa Frimpong-Manso to assume that responsibility. In addition, we are talking about a Ghanaian Presbyterian Church and not any other church which does not support the PCUSA constitutional change and is a signatory to a release sent to Ghanaweb.com a few weeks ago. Just for your information and judgment.
On Rev. Ansa Acquah, reliable information indicate that Rev. Martey gave her a 24 hour ultimatum to let him (Rev. Martey) know how she will spend her vacation away from a church that she helped founded with her husband who sadly dies while still organizing this church. That he, Rev. Martey will give her another church to assist while she is still in the USA. This is not a violation of USA immigration laws because she was granted the visa for a specific duty and term in the USA, diverting from that stated duty and terms means a lot. We also learned that he held her hostage in the USA by asking her not to do anything with the host church that invited her to USA. By the way, as Rev. Nkansah stated, Rev. Ansa Acquah even though was on vacation, she sent letters to her district pastor, presbytery chair, and the clerk of General assembly, which letters included copies of all the invitation letters she received from the host church and the host PCUSA Presbytery.
A lot more can be written about Rev. Martey’s evil agenda and hypocrisy but for now, it will serve all Ghanaian Presbyterians in USA well if Martey will change his ways and bring all Presbyterians in the USA together to pray for PCUSA, our long time partners, that the Lord will by His abundance of grace, change their position on this social issue. After-all, if your brother is a thief, or your congregation member is a sinner, you do not cast the person away but carefully and tactfully, and biblically advice and pray for the person to change. That is what the church is about – winning souls for Christ. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3: 23.
If Rev. Martey decides to continue with his acts, then he should act as a Christian soldier and withdraw all his pastors from PCUSA Seminaries, stop opening churches in USA because the nation as a whole is in support of this social issue. Stop travelling to USA, stop using illegal immigrants as his church leaders, and recall all Presbyterians in USA back home, find a land where Presbyterians will live in isolation from the rest of the world because this social issue is growing and every country has its share.
Christians, let’s come together in prayer for God’s intervention.

This is one sad story ever told. What would God say if He reads this story? Did PCG or PCUSA died for us? It is about Christ who has called us into His Glorious Kingdom!
This is a real issue that needs serious delibration and prayers for the leaders of both sides for them to sit down together, patch their differences and work together to advance the Gospel.
After all it is about The Kingdom!
Seriously, people are DYING FOR THEIR FAITH in Iraq, Libya, Nigeria and other parts of the world and we are bless with so much peace that we have time fighting among ourselves?
Look, let's us put enimosity aside and ask our leaders to come together and solve this issue amicably. After all we are all GHANAIANS and PRESBYTERIANS for Christ sake! If we are able to TOLERATE INTERFAITH and have dialogue with Muslims and other religions that deny our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, this should not be difficult for us to do...The GHANAIAN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCHES MEETING TOGETHER, where there's neither PCG or PCUSA.
Besides that is our MOTTO: THAT ALL MAY BE ONE!
GOD BLESS GHANAIAN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCHES: PCG, PCUSA, PCI- Presbyterian Church Independent!

Rev. Martey himself wants to relocate to the USA after his retirement in a year and half and he is making frantic efforts to establish a base in the USA. PCG is a parasitic organization afraid of PCUSA which helps to establish churches while PCG just sucks money from the congregation. They always receive and never give .They are afraid of their own shadows hence their constant vilication of PCUSA

For all of you who are reducing this issue to mudslinging the Pastors should be ashamed of themselves. it shows how ignorant you all are and your inability to deal with issues. We live in a land where the supreme laws have added yet another slant to the definition of marriage as " a union between two persons" from the original definition as a union between a man and a woman.
For purposes of education, let me tell all that the said ammendment that is creating all this mayhem simply states that the PCUSA recognises that the definition of marriage has changed according to the supreme laws of the land in which the Church finds itself. Flowing out of this it is evident that no institution- including the church- cannot refuse to marry any two persons wishing to contract matrimony.
However in the wisdom of the PCUSA, the ammendment sought to provide a relief to the Church and insulate individual churches and Pastors from being sued on the grounds of discrimination. hence, notwithstanding the admission of the change in the definition of marriage, it also seeks to state that the decision to conduct such ceremonies lies solely and directly with the Pastor and Session of the individual Church concerned. As such, BOTH the Pastor and Session MUST UNANIMOUSLY agree before the ceremony can take place.
It is clear that the decision is NOT BINDING on any Church.
for those of you who want to join in the discussion, note that Ghanaian PCUSA churches are not bound by the ammendment. It also does not mean that they are practising, promoting or endorsing LGBT in thier respective Churches.
I have always maintained, that what we should do is to pray hard that our children in the diaspora do not fall into this lifestyle (as most of us are condemning the Church)because they are under all kinds of influences of lifestyles.
I keep asking this question: what will we do if any of our children come home with same sex partners? Remember that lifestyles know no boundaries.
I strongly believe if the leaders and others condemning the Ghanaian PCUSA Churches had taken pains to read and study and understand the said Ammendment, they will not be making such ignorant and irresponsible statements. I still maintain that we should address the issues at stake and educate each other on this rather than reduce it to mudslinging and defending our sometimes ignorant leaders who have thier own personal agenda. Lets not be drawn into the politics of our church leaders and do thier trench work for them. Leaders and thier office terms will come and go but the church of God will stand forever.
I am ready to make available the full document on this Item 10-02 so people can read and make thier own informed opinions.
