  the police just can't stop collecting bribes. because the recruits paid bribes of 2000GH before getting the job. everybody knows this. they start bribe education and will end with bribe taken.

  IGP MUST BE DREAMING. ITS A TRADITION WHICH WAS AND IS PART OF SO WHATS NEW. THERE IS A C I D OFFICER IN SAKUMONO POLICE STATION THAT FOR YEARS HAS NOT TAKEN ONE CASE TO COURT. EVERY CASE GETS SOLVED BY SHE AND HER COMMANDER COS THEY ARE BUDDY BUDDY. LOTS OF CRIMINAL CASES AND ASSAULTS CASES HAS ALWAYS BEEN SOLVED AT THE STATION COS SHE IS LAZY TO GO TO COURT. EMILIA NEVER GOES TO COURT.

  Mr. IGP, I wish to inform you that the Police at Sowutuom in Accra are disgracing the service. They mount a barrier close to the station every evening and take one Ghana Cedis GHs1 from every commercial driver shamefully.If a driver fails to give the GHs1 at the barrier, the policeman at the barrier will signal another one who is positioned a little beyond the barrier to stop the driver and taske the money. Last night, as usual I was on a trotro bus and it happened again. All passenger saw it and started speaking unprintable words against the police service. Kindly investigate this and stop your officers from tarnishing the image of the service.

  It is a big shame how the Police in Sowutuom are disgracing the Police service. What is pathetic is the comments the trotro drivers make in the car before giving the GHs1 to the police.A driver once told his mate: Mame one cedi menfa ma kwasifuo wei numu: Give me one cedi to give to these foolish people.I hear part of that money eventually gets to the desk of the IGP, so even though the authorities are aware, they do nothing to stop such practices because they all benefit from it.
