KNUST failed to rusticate and report to the police a female student who beat up her roommate; the lecturers have been bought. It has been said that many lecturers lack teaching methodologies. What should be the minimum requirement in recruiting lecturers into a tertiary institution? Is it a masters degree or a PhD with a course in education??

Professors in tertiary institutions must read GES directives. There are many important and useful GES directives which would help them.

GES banned all forms of corporal punishment in Educational institutions but there are reports that some tertiary institutions are still carrying out this practice. Asking students to kneel down and so on.

Lecturers in tertiary institutions must recognize the fact that students in these institution are adults.

Massa lets face fact the students was aware that there ll be no allowances before they bought the form n that has enabled majority of the students to gain admission, i quite remember i went to interview with grade 11 shs n the principal told me to pay 10million before admission n i ll even share my allowances with him infact the teacher trainee authorities re the one's influencing the students to boycott being in school, Jm never pay a penny to them n let them rot at home.

This is complete nonsense from d school's vice president for endorsing this virtually free education. does government have to pay students for them to be able to pay their school fees? if 800ghc isn't enough then they can plead with the loan trust to increase it to 3000ghc per academic year. those saying mahama is insensitive u better shut ur mouths. in 2016 I will vote for npp but we need to commend government for taking this bold step. where on this earth are weak students given scholarship. If u want to see d academic performance of these teacher trainees just look at d poor state of academics in our syto schools. it's been far worse than it use to be all because they are not taught well by these trainees who want government to cough up the tax payers money for them. it's a good initiative they have to apply for job after school after all they are tertiary students.
