Dont go eh if you wish to throw away all you have gotten over the few years then dont go for your lectures. That is problem this "Over entitlement" attitude of these students is becoming unbecoming simple and short. The most annoying thing is that you train them and send them to go and work and they tell you its in the rural areas so they will not go yet they expect to take allowances and a posting in the city for free. No way you must pay up and when you finish you put in an application and when you are taken and posted to whichever region you can choose to sit and decide not to go at least government has not wasted money. Just listen to some childish and immature rant by some so called student leader. government cannot choose to say they will not pay allowance and then ask you to go to the rural areas my question is do they even go at all? This is long over due, you applied afterwards when you are taken you get posted to some location. If it were a private company that is taking you on to work and you get posted to some rural area can you say you would not go?

Yes so that is what you would say because you equally have such same over entitlement mentality, becuase someone is being given me too I must be given. But I beg your pardon Angel you are not dealing with the police here and neither are you on the police force if you also asking for this allowance. I since my secondary school days have been working and paying for my school with hard pound sterlings yes pound sterlings. Now I am paying taxes to the government when government has not thrown any dime into my post secondary education and some one would say that is if I have chosen to take that course then that is my headache and indeed I would equally say that you as students in the teachers training colleges have also chosen to study there so I see no reason to complain each man to his own. So if today government is saying he sees no reason why he should pay people allowances Angel each man for himself God for us all. They should go access loans pay their fees when they finish they should apply like all of us do looking for jobs and when they are posted to the rural areas like I said earlier and as occurs in the private sector they can then choose not to go. I have accepted the fact that I must pay my due to this nation some one should shove that 'over entitled' mentality where the sun does not shine and do their duty as well. I am working with a private firm one man business When I am late I get deducted for being late when i skip work without doctors notice I get deducted But what do you see with these spoilt brats we are calling teacher trainees.

If the number of potential teachers drops over 50% do you know what would happen. We like politicking on everything why do you compare Ghana to UK ? For Gods sake? Teacher training allowance has been there governments after governments. If he can't do something better he should not destroy what holds Ghana economy together. This will eventually destroy society as there will be widespread employment of unqualified teachers, the only option left. So NHIS is destroyed, teacher trainee allowance is off, still no money to support fuel or electrification in the country. The roads are deplorable, water Supply in Ghana is disgusting. So Nii Arma, where are all the money gone? The oil money?

The reasons for putting in place student 's allawa is basically because people did not have interest in teaching and nursing. It is obvious today that the number of enrollment in the training schools have gone up significantly. This simply means that the government can not sustain the program. Let all trainees bear in mind that government will not be able to absorb all trainee some few years to come. Let just accept this faith and forge together on.

If you want to know the brains behind the killing of the two American citizens in Akosombo then read this. According to the story" The two who are leaders of the African American community in Akwamu were recently accused by the Chieftaincy Minister, Dr. Seidu Danaa, of illegally acting as chiefs."
"Private legal practitioner, Samson Lardy Anyenini late last year brought a suit on behalf of the leaders and against the Chieftaincy Minister whom they alleged had supported one Osofo to mistreat them using national security.

The Osofo was named in the suit as claiming right to the symbolic stool and skin created by the national house of chiefs to reintegrate disaporians.

Samson says that suit was withdrawn earlier this year after the Attorney-General (A-G) called for an amicable settlement."
The question is if the government has declared the status of the US citizens as an illegality, why did the Attorney General beg that the issue should be withdrawn from court. The answer is simple. Withdraw the case, kill the Afro Americans and case die.

It is not not force. Stop the school if you cannot pay your fees. UCC and UEW can train teachers at a fee. These training Colleges are not necessary again in Ghana. Most of them cannot write in English.

Well, I did two years of National Service in locations I did not choose. I think the abolition of allowances must stand. The teachers cannot hold a nation to ransom, after all, once they are done with their education, they will be paid like any other public/civil servant.

I'm much concern of the allowances the government has decided not to gives. All its reason is to increase admission intake. In 2013 during admission into colleges, three batches of students applied thus 2012, 2013 form 3s and form 4. But out of these not more than 430 applicants had admission. Comparing to 2011 which was one batch admitted, not less than 200 applicants had admission into my college. this shows that averagely each batch should have not less than 200 applicants to be addmitted. This means my college was to admit not less than 600 applicants in relation to one batch : 200 students even with allowances effecting. So if we should go by reducing allowances to increase number twice number intake into collages than not less than 1200 students should have been admitted. if that wasn't achieved then there has not been positive increment rather Increased At A Decreased Rate. Consider this senerio. You invested Ghc10.00 and had a profit of Ghc5.00. Because of this u decided to add another Ghc10.00, making an investment of Ghc20.00 and u come to get a profit of Ghc7.00, will u call this increase in profit?? In fact the government has truely shown his disregard to teachers. Now the cost of obtaining a diploma cert. is even more than cost of obtaining a degree. so how lucrative is the teacher training?? If we had such monies we could have gone to the Legon, UCC, KNUST and the others. I am also sure the government has forgotten our speciality in tertiary institutions, so has described giving us the allowances as discriminating. This same government has also deliberately forgotten sectoral development in terms of education. The constitution talkes of free education for all but look at how Long Northerners enjoyed free education before it went across the other parts of the country. So do we call this discriminating? The answer will be no because we all know how most northern communities are deprived. Also do we call Cocoa Mass Spraying as discriminating or is done to the detriment of other cash crops?? If no then this shows that the government shouldn't compare WE teacher trainess to those in universities, poly and other institutions. I also want to ask why the government had paid the allowances of the nurses at Level 200s because we were all exempted? Is it that the government is undermining the integrity of teachers or is our fate. Very soon we shall go on out program and we need to rent accommodation, pay bills, feed and the last of buy T.L.Ms which is a vital tool in teacher and not forgetting expenditure on research works. How are we to finance all these? Even our seniors said the allowance is just a supplement so if this expense are to left on our shoulders, how are we going to survive? Mr. government surly consider our cry because u made that policy to help us but is not working as you planned and it is only the foolish who doesnt reverse thoughts. Trainess and all stakeholders especially the media help for the government to bring back our allowances. Don't let morality to over look your rights because eradicating problems at the tip of ur mother's vagina is not an incest . Governments commentators who benefited from the allowances and are now lambasting trainess, please halt that because respect must be reciprocated.

we are sounding sense in to their ears to reconsider their policies to make sure that it dose not affect teacher trainee any longer. what kind of government have we gotten and he and his team policies always affect a particular group of worker . we want them to realise the importance of teachers in the nation. all start from a good teacher be u the president of Ghana, minister in charge of tertiary, member of Parliament or any all is from a good teacher. not just a teacher. you can think that any teacher can perform duty of a teacher why didn't you go and bring our people at home to perform the duty of teacher. you can even depend on the winniba and cape coast for teachers be ready to record hundred percent failure. we they sound to the ears of our biased leader to reconsider their policies or else even though TTAG is non partsant we know what is better for as To day for you 2016 for patriotic citizens of Ghana
