This so-called COOL HEADS is just stupid. First he does not know the political history of Ghana and he also tries to twist facts. IT is THIEF Kufuor who brought tribalism into Ghana and not Atta-Mills and Mahama. The NLM/UP/PP/NPP has been and is always an Ashanti cult with tribalistic agenda. NPP is not there for the interest of Ghana. Like the UP, the NPP is anti-development, anti-infrastructural development. To them anything not Ashanti is bad and not good for Ghana. The Asantes should just stop hiding behind the word AKAN to persue their tribalistic dreams an aims. There is nothing like Akans, First we a all Ghanaians, and then Gas, Ashantis, Akwapims, Ahantas, Fantis, Ewes, Dagobas etc. Fantis are Fantis, Ahantas are Ahantas and not that bogus Akans RUBBISH.In 2016, the NPP will only win and a half Regions. The Ashanti and half of the eastern Regions so they should not think on coming to power anytime soon. The central, Western, Brong Ahafo and Accra Regions will not follow your tribalistic Agenda.

There is some truth to this simple assertion about the founding fathers of the NPP. Led by Akufo-Addo's legal mind, those NPP leaders might have thought that their close copying of the Republican image in the USA would offer them a special regard by the hawkish, ultra-Capitalist conservative Republicans who mostly support wide class differences among the Society to the detriment of the ordinary folks. Hence, the emergence of the NPP mantra: "Property-Owning Democracy".
No true Democracy stands in the way of 'property-owning'. And in Ghana, even the era of Nkrumah's 'One-man, one-car' restrictions did not see any formal curtailment of the ordinary folks' right to own private property. Hard working private entities still retained that right. So, I came to view that mantra of NPP's as oxymoronic, probably coopted to emphasize how free the well-connected could be to manipulate the system to their exclusive financial advantage, all under the guise of unbridled Capitalism.
We were, by that mantra, supposed to be programmed to shut up about any indecent attempt by any Official to take undue advantage of the system to amass wealth. Now, we see how the NDC is also quietly following the same path to equalize the gains by the NPP in that regard.
I had always suspected that the frantic quest by the post-Kufuor NDC Administrations to sign deals with dubious entities like the Koreans in the STX scam, and even with the Moroccans to build our Houses for us, as if we do not have qualified Artisans to do so ourselves, was all part of the NDC's design to grab their share of the National cake as much as the NPP mantra allowed Kufuor and his folks in NPP to gain. The massive frauds in SADA, GYEEDA, and even Woyomegate could all be seen as bearing some tacit complicity of the NDC Administrations to enable their members control just as much wealth out of the National cake as possible. That explains, to some large degree, the inability of the President's to strongly demand swift and deserving prosecution and indictment of suspects in the scandals involving those Public Institutions.
Ghana should be the last Nation in Africa to have any of her Political Parties claim the Republican Party in the USA as any reliable friend or model. Sucking up to the 'Elephant' in the USA does not guarantee us in Ghana any benefits as it would wish for, say, the anti-Castro Cuban migrants in Miami. It would only provide the few members of the 'Elephant' Club in Ghana protection against any inter-governmental intrusion by any entity into how they acquire their overnight affluence, and where they choose to hide their wealth from inquiring Citizens.
Long Live Ghana!!!

It is sad to say our democracy dispensation has rather divided us,that is to say, we are not evolving as a nation.until we come to realization that, irrespective of our tribes or status, once a Ghanaian,we have common destiny....the rise and fall of our nation affects us all.Basically, to ease tension, polarization ,ineptitude of our public officials, and what have you, there should be constitution amendment to re-structure our public institution and place high premium on track records, work experience and integrity of any public officials,in that way, people would not join political parties with the hope that,if their party wins ,they can be promoted as ministers or to head public institutions even though they may not have what it takes,in other words, head of public institution and public servant should be absorb into the government. Also there should educational programs to sensitize the citizenry that we are one people.I believe the tension and polarization will ease if we set out these criteria and adhere to it .

We cannot cry over spilled milk in Ghana; no one wants to hear our moaning and groaning. The old adage "live and learn" should be a cautionary warning to us all who think there should be one system that governs mankind. Ghana's history points to people and or tribes who live with the delusional thought they are ordained to assume leadership role in Ghana; those are the people who have resorted to bombing and sabotage of government in this country. And when they have had the chance at ruling they have been corrupt, contemptible and shown disdain for Christian values and principles.
These are the very people who hide behind democracy and or principles of democratic governance to sell freedoms to other ignorant Ghanaians. There is a need for strong, forceful leaders willing to suspend rules that allow others to create chaos. Until such a time comes we will have chaos and rabble rousers in Ghana who live to steal and pillage Ghana. There is not a single rich person in Ghana, (corporate or individual) who earned their riches honorably and fairly especially anyone with a background in Ghana politics.

I hope Ghanaians would take heed and our Politicians take note of it. Every advanced Country has some set of National goals that no Government dares digress from, despite its partisan leanings.
What we in Africa haven't learnt is that such deeply embedded national aspirations of these advanced Nations are not often discussed in Public because they have the potential to portray those Countries as being unduly predatory, and exposes many of them as imperialistic and not truly as caring about the rest of the World as we have almost always credited them for.
But we should rest assured that it is such national interests that drive their various Trade deals, and political alignment with various other Countries. We should not let their local political partisan rivalries fool us. For example, the fact the Democrats under President Obama, in the USA, would seem more amenable to Developing Countries, especially, Africa, does not mean he can abandon any pro-American interests to the exclusive gain of the Developing Countries. He is bound by the unchanging core American interests to, say, support Kosmos against Ghana, on the recent Oil deal that brought us the Jubilee Oil, however steep the imbalance would be to Kosmos' advantage.
We have to prove smarter. Our Professors, singing the chorus to claim how strong an ally they each could be to the West, often disregard the need to safeguard our national interests. However, we must understand that standing up for our national interests does not necessarily have to throw us into the arms of any undesirable geo-political ideology, like Communism. We would be simply protecting our rights to development as well as those advance Nations have always done for themselves.
Long Live Ghana!!!
