  blanket ban without taking local conditions into account is pointless.We all did our bit on our cocoa farms.School is not for everybody.Our elder sister hated school.She dropped out at P6 in 1970 to do business and farming.She has been more successful in everything than those of us who wasted our time.

  Sorry to hear you say that school is not for everybody. Do you know most children in cocoa growing areas are denied any education especially the girl child. Everything must be done to stop this menace. Child labour is a canke ...

  Sorry to hear you say that school is not for everybody. Do you know most children in cocoa growing areas are denied any education especially the girl child. Everything must be done to stop this menace. Child labour is a canker that must be uprooted. Whiles children in other parts of the nation are being encouraged to go to school their counterparts are being forced to work on these cocoa farms at such tender age. What crime have they committed? Ask yourself.

  Stop all child labour. Is Ghana conforming to far trading rules of not slaving children on farms. All cocoa seeds should be traded on the banner of no child labour.

  What has the current government, and for that matter any government, done but exploit those same indigenous farmers? When ministers' wards enjoy full cocoa marketing board scholarships from primary school through higher degrees abroad whilst wards of cocoa farmers are constantly chased away from primary schools for failure to pay PTA fees, is that not what the VEEP must promise to help eradicate and see to it that it is eradicated? Why waste your breath to preach so nicely to the international community as if child labour is the worst and only form of cruelty in our part of the world? No, Mr VEEP; come again!
