If you want to know the brains behind the killing of the two American citizens in Akosombo then read this. According to the story" The two who are leaders of the African American community in Akwamu were recently accused by the Chieftaincy Minister, Dr. Seidu Danaa, of illegally acting as chiefs."
"Private legal practitioner, Samson Lardy Anyenini late last year brought a suit on behalf of the leaders and against the Chieftaincy Minister whom they alleged had supported one Osofo to mistreat them using national security.

The Osofo was named in the suit as claiming right to the symbolic stool and skin created by the national house of chiefs to reintegrate disaporians.

Samson says that suit was withdrawn earlier this year after the Attorney-General (A-G) called for an amicable settlement."
The question is if the government has declared the status of the US citizens as an illegality, why did the Attorney General beg that the issue should be withdrawn from court. The answer is simple. Withdraw the case, kill the Afro Americans and case die.

We already has our way of thanking God for His grace and mercies towards us and wish each and everyone of us a happy new year, good health, prosperity, longlife etc... We as Ga people arrived from our various places to our ancestors home to count our self like census on thursday, we remember family members who passed away on Friday, We cook our traditional food and sprinkle in hooting at hunger and merry making on Saturday and on Sunday we wish our self happy new year and ask God's blessing.

I beg to differ with this offer from the CCG. I think they do not understand or have misconstrued the festival. Homowo is a festival celebrated for specific purpose. It is considered a victory over hunger and everything on that day is celebrated in that light. Our elders in their God given wisdom knowing that such victory would not have been possible without the Almighty's intervention dedicate the following day as a day of thanksgiving where good riddance are exchanged amongst friends and families. So what the CCG is proposing is not new. I don't see what it would add to the value of the festival. Rather it would dilute the essence of the celebration and turn the church aspect into the main festival like our 'Kpodziemo' which has now become "Christiaining". Please CCG leave our only surviving cultural symbol to us. You've used the Bible enough to gradually eradicate some aspects of our culture and tradition. There are other cultures needing "Christian" reforms who would welcome such proposal. For me I don't think making a duplicate of what already exists is a help!
