No, these people do not understand the issues pertaining to the energy crisis but they do understand the crisis has been with us far too long and there are no solutions forward.

Former President Kuffour will give us answers but I think such moneys should have been used to build a Nuclear Power Plant, Wind farm, solar Plant or some sort of Plant other than Hydro. May be the story today would be different. We need a more diversified power source. Please, let’s give Mahama more time to clean the mess in the power sector.

He's speaking of a film bill. Lets say the bill is passed today, where is the electricity to produce those Ghanaian soap operas within cost and budget and also make enough to pay for quality actors and actresses and retain them in the industry and also create conditions for their continuous improvement and welfare, so they can compete globally just like other celebs, all over the world?
Clearly, Santana Abeiku is the one who lacks the intellectual capacity to understand the issues, which is so basic and rudimentary that, even a caveman can appreciate it.
It is totally of no consequence debating these issues with those with a myopic outlook of the situation, and whether the Mahama NDC gov't likes it or not, the idea of the vigil coming off has resonated very loud and clear, and it would happen. The dumsor must stop now is as real as it is imperative and come hell or high water, the Mahama NDC gov't would need to stop it now.
The Ghc8.7billion cedis which translated to over $4billion dollars which was looted within 2months by the Mahama-led NDC gov't in 2012, which amount is now stated to be required to address the dumsor over the next 10years by the MCC, needs to be returned now, by the John Dramani Mahama-led thieving NDC gov't, so we get our lights.

May be already built power barges? Not economically feasible, but even so, Mahama is exploring all options. I think many Ghanaians including Yvonne Nelson and Colleagues don’t understand the issues. Mahama did not create this power crisis but as a leader he has the responsibility to fix it. He has taken pragmatic steps towards that direction but the solution will not come overnight. We need to be a little more patient. As a country, we lacked clear vision for the energy industry. It is very surprising that as a country we did not foresee the energy crisis coming. Our past leaders did not foresee low water levels in our hydro dams(we suddenly forgot that in 2008 water levels in Akosombo Dam dropped so low). It is also very surprising that we did not know that supply of natural gas from Nigeria could be interrupted. As a result there was no plan B. A country must not depend heavily on one source of generating electricity. In Ghana’s case we depend heavily on Hydro. Did Ghana need Bui Dam now? Former President Kuffour will give us answers but I think such moneys should have been used to build a Nuclear Power Plant, Wind farm, solar Plant or some sort of Plant other than Hydro. May be the story today would be different. We need a more diversified power source. Please, let’s give our president more time to clean the mess in the power sector.
