Is this some coersion forced down our throat by France or a natural evolution.
What about the $500 billion of francophone Africa money France is holding against the will of those nations?
How can we build a nation when that much of Africa's money is in the hands of another nation?
In East Africa, the leaders involved the citizenry in joint conferences to reeducate them on PAN AFRICANISM and the winning positive side of pulling together. All the leaders, Museveni,Kagame, Kenyatta all got involved personally with their citizens in a spirit of activism.
That activism is missing on our part of west Africa where our leaders are too big and too aloof to mix with us.
And Here we are, we the people are left out and all of a sudden, an agreement is reached between three neighboring nations?
Please apply wisdom to involve the people to mix and know each other and plan together and share ideas together.
I hope this is a home grown evolution as it's evolving in the EAST.
Good luck.

If you want to know those behind the killing of the two American citizens in Akosombo then read this. According to the story" The two who are leaders of the African American community in Akwamu were recently accused by the Chieftaincy Minister, Dr. Seidu Danaa, of illegally acting as chiefs."
"Private legal practitioner, Samson Lardy Anyenini late last year brought a suit on behalf of the leaders and against the Chieftaincy Minister whom they alleged had supported one Osofo to mistreat them using national security.
The Osofo was named in the suit as claiming right to the symbolic stool and skin created by the national house of chiefs to reintegrate disaporians.
Samson says that suit was withdrawn earlier this year after the Attorney-General (A-G) called for an amicable settlement."
The question is if the government has declared the status of the US citizens as an illegality, why did the Attorney General beg that the issue should be withdrawn from court. The answer is simple. Withdraw the case, kill the Afro Americans and case die.
I promise, The blood of these Afro Americans shall not be in vain. I will fight till the end.

Ghana and its neighbors should have long established such a bond to allow for freer cross-boundary interactions and expansion of our mutual, common Market environment.
Tariffs for Goods and Services across our mutual boundaries need be revised to eliminate any on Food, for example, and reduce that on heavy Economic items as would be imported to Burkina via our Ports.
I understand the worries many of us have on unregulated migration among the Nations. But that could be well managed to arrive at a reasonable balance of movement in the sub-region. Any such review of our immigration Laws must achieve some uniform immigration Law that would not criminalize any breach of that Law but only impose a punitive fine and temporary suspension of migrant privileges. Even those restrictions could be dissolved when we achieve full integration into a single State.
If any Citizen of one component Nation would like to settle in any other Nation and work there, the process of attaining the said status must be streamlined for both the host and home Country to have a record of such resettlement and job status for Census and Tax purposes.
We must watch the EU arrangements for clues and reasonably tweak them to serve our mutual benefits the most. In the end, the Citizens of all the Nations must come out winners in such Socio-Economic-Political bond.
While the ECOWAS provides the bases for reaching even beyond the above suggested arrangements, the more direct multi-National arrangements would spur the Nations on to achieve the ultimate goals for the Sub-region much faster.
We should not be scared that the relative weaker Economies of our Neighboring Countries, given that we may have more Natural Resources than them, would put us be at the losing end of such arrangements. If we wisely go about such arrangements, we would have an inflow of investments that would increase the rate of our development and help us make the most out of our Resources to improve the lives of all of us.
We only have to establish strong Institutions with uncompromising ethics where Corruption would be totally shunned and nipped in the bud. That would require joint commitment to stringent enforcement of Law across the boundaries, even as we relax some of the current restrictive Laws to allow greater and easier interactions.
We must be capable of pulling this off to fulfill our longstanding aspirations to live in mutual harmony and development as sisters and brothers in the West Africa Sub-region. We should not allow the former Colonial masters and their allies elsewhere dictate how we interact among ourselves. Theirs have always been to divide us for easier manipulation to their advantage.
We could craft our own joint and local currency that is not controlled by the French or the British or the USA. The French deliberately left the CFA among their former Colonies to wield continued control of their Economies to the advantage of France. That must be substituted with our own West African Currency controlled from within by our own mutual Institutions.
It is time to have our own common currency backed by our own Natural Resources, and driven by our own Economic activities in the Region.

Watch it do you call this a strong bond ? They will in the future turn into traitors and stab you in the back just like what Traitors Ivory Coast is doing now trying to shamelessly claim our investment in oil exploration. They've sabotaged and milked Ghana for years irrespective of the numerous ECOWAS border agreements. Is this what you consider a friend ?????? Watch it carefully.
