I am surprised about the person who thinks that he should have been honoured instead of this dedicated person. I personally followed the Newmont Cyanide spillage in my studies and I know that Wacam was very outstanding in the struggle on that spillage. I am not surprised that one of their activists on the ground has been honoured. This so called Pasco Lee is just being jealous . Let people see the good in you and honour you and not fight to be honoured.

Dear so-called Pasco Lee, why are you so full of venom and anger. I have done extensive research in the area and I know what I am saying . Let me tell you that I have related with a number of researchers who have conducted studies in the Newmont Ahafo area and you cannot raise yourself as if you know everything which others do not know. For want of space I would not go into the details but you are showing too much arrogance. I got to know that a local NGO(name withheld but not Wacam) extorted monies from some people in the communities with the promise of fighting for the people to receive compensations which would be shared to the community people. When I got the story from the community , I initially suspected Wacam and the people themselves told me that Wacam was a very honest organisation and then they provided me with the name of the organisation. Indeed, a Minister confirmed this to me that they had received such information about that local NGO when I checked up. I know that members of this dangerous local NGO made themselves cheap champions of that cyanide spillage for their selfish interest and I would not be surprised if the so-called Pasco Lee is one of such people. I would leave you to your conscience. Good Bye
