The installation of the local Bolga has to be looked at very carefully before we have a breakdown of what has provided us law and order. Historically Bolga has no chieftaincy. The Zuarungu chief is the paramount chief of the Frafra traditional area.Mr Abilba's father in the 1970s was put as a chief because of politics. It seems that we have not lent from mistakes that have been made by all our unstable Afican brothers in other countries. The more we bring our so called modern political installations into our traditional governmental system the more we are asking for coups. It seems that Ghanians think that by being developed means that we should throw out what defines us.The Ashantihene had no plays in sending a representative to a defunct and illegal chieftaincy crowning. However am i surprised about the Ashanti king showing his ignorance of the Mole-Dagbani heritage. President Mahama it is a shame that as a history student it is within your reign that you are trying to destroy the same Mole-Dagbani heritage you come from. Stop using modern answers to solve old and traditional problems. You are about to throw the country into disaster. Thanks and seek for advice when necessary because you are getting the wrong advise on this issue.

Going to the Nayiri was a historical error caused by the British, so how can that constitute tradition? From now on no faction of Frafras should step a foot anywhere to be enskinned. Bolga Naba should be the Overlord of the Frafras area and it is he who should enskinned all the Chiefs.
Zuarungu people, please grow up! You are Frafr, not Mamprusis, and Mamprusis have never conquered Frafras - it was only a colonial arrangement to ease the British indirect rule.

My brother, you have gotten everything wrong. What is the difference between a Frafra and a Mamprusi? We are all descendants of Naa Gbewa. The enskinment of some of our chiefs by the Nayiri was not invented by the British colonialists. This practice pre-dates colonial rule. It is our tradition. It is NOT an imposition and it is certainly not about conquest. It is tradition. The fact that the Nayiri enskins the Bolga Naba or the Zuarungu Naba does not in any way mean that Frafras are under the Nayiri. NEVER! It is just a matter of tradition, which is different from Western politics. I don't know how this tradition started, but our ancestors saw wisdom in it that's why it is still being practiced. If we think that this tradition is outmoded, there is a way to go about it. If Frafras think it is time to put in place an in-house system for enskinning chiefs, this can be achieved through dialogue, not anger or conflict. Secondly, the Bolga Naba CANNOT be the overlord of the Frafra Traditional Area. Traditionally, Zuarungu is senior to Bolga. Even Bongo and Sekoti are senior to Bolga. The fact that Bolga is the regional capital does not mean that it is the traditional capital. It is just like Nalerigu and Yendi being traditional capitals, whereas Gambaga and Tamale are the political capitals. And so Zuarungu is senior to Bolga. In all these maneuvers, let's exercise caution so that we don't spark an unnecessary conflict in the Frafra Traditional Area that will eventually degenerate into an armed conflict and set us back in time and development.
