Do we no longer have procedural traditions in Bolgatanga? There is a layed down procedure by which Bolga chiefs are selected and installed? If that procedure is violated, sanction the offenders restore the traditional procedu ...

If that procedure is violated, sanction the offenders restore the traditional procedure. Stop wasting our meagre resources and encouraging this nonsense of rival people installing themselves as chiefs.

There is not a single institution in the country that is working according to the laid down rules in the books. I starts with the Government (Seat of Govt.) through all her departments down to the heads of villages and towns.

This Govt. cannot discipline anybody because the President and his team are corrupt and incompetent.

Is the Chieftaincy Institution still relevant to our progress and development ?

The police should secure a Court order to restrain both faction to enable the REGSEC engage them and resolve the matter. Allowing a faction to install their chief will still not bring peace to the area. They should be engag ...

What a shame. Simply because you are developing does not mean you abandon your culture and traditional laws. Take a look at how Japan used its traditional laws and culture yet they are the third most developed country in the world. our traditional laws and chieftancy is what is maintaining law and order in Ghana. Do you have a police or court in your village?............. Who is less corrupt and political than the police and the modern court system that if your lawyer can lie they will even get a murderer out of a case The chieftancy dispute originated with the imbibing itself into a system that has been in practice for thousands of years. The government should have brought its security forces to see a legitimately installed chief have a parade without any intervention. The government has persistently been incompetent when it comes to the traditional laws laid down by the Mamprugu Kingdom, They want to do the same thing they are doing with the Kusasis in Dawku.Cherish our laws now as we try to develop otherwise we will see trouble instead of peace.
