Buhari of Nigeria recently released the abducted innocent school girls by his terrorist group BOKO HARAM just after he successfully won the presidency. The world isn't surprise of his victory over Jonathan Goodluck as he used his terrorist group to intimidate Nigerians. So i will like to plead with GHANA Buhari Nana Akanfo Binaddo as matter of urgency, he must lift up his ugly hands from the electricity power for Ghanaians to go back to work. enough is enough for Nana Binaddo and his NPP bullshit.

SUCH a mindset stayed in parliament for over a decade, how can Ghana develope?
Asset declaration is the Basic starting Point of questioning if some one is been suspected.
soup is or are collections of some vegetable ingredients.
we are in a country where every Basic foundations of Nation building are regarded as unnecessary meanwhile those rejected Stones are the pillars of Nation building,.
eg
if prez mahama declare one house at ridge before entering into politics but have over 10 houses when leaving Office it calls for investigations as to how he came about those houses comparing to his income and tax declaration .
the defficulties is whereby he changes names of ownership?- that is where in the chain the national ID must come in to identify the suorce of income from the said Person. here you as Journalist can raise the campaign as to if somebody uses your ID to acquire wealth take the ownership and never return them because it is or they stollen items from your tax.
And there must be a taxforce by Name commision of corruption-Their Mandate is to investigate those who are Holding and have Held public Offices two times in decade when retired, and every 4yrs when still at post. it must be done by district Assemblies .
if further investigations are to be conducted you will see that the idear is or are not waste in fighting corruption

We all know that because of collusion amongst people, uprooting corruption in society has always been impossible.
Neither Man nor Government can fight corruption successfully, especially in Ghana.
The only sure way to do so therefore is to resort to the SPIRITUAL means.
All we need to do is to start fighting corruption from the top and it will transcend to everyone in the country within a few months.
How do we accomplish this?
Whenever we swear in Politicians, Board Members and Senior Management of Parastatals, or any High Level Government Officials in the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), we should make sure as part of the oath of allegiance they swear to will include:
(1) A BLESSING to these individuals and their families if they perform genuinely and diligently as if, to quote Mr. Mahama, "such institutions they manage or oversee belong to their fathers".
(2) At the same time, there is a need to insert a section within the same oath of allegiance that will make the official call a CURSE upon himself or herself as well as their immediate families, and even from generation to generation if they ever amass wealth through corruption during the period of their public service.
What the Government can therefore do is to modify those oath of allegiances slightly to reflect these proposals and I can assure you that, Ghana will surpass even Singapore in her development within months and not even in years.

If you declare your asset and is published in the newspapers for all to see before you come to power and do the same thing when you are voted out of office, we, the people, will be able to judge whether you have used your position to amass wealth or not.
Remember you are swearing an oath regarding the truthfulness of your declaration. So people will know whether you declaring the truth. If it is found out that you have lied under oath, your asset must be confiscated. You must also be imprisoned for a minimum sentence of not less than 50 years.
The only problem I have with this proposition is whether the court will jail the person in spite of overwhelming weight of evidence against them.
In Ghana today if you are a politician or an occupier of any exalted position, you will definitely walk out of the court as a free man and become a celebrity, and go to church with your family members and friends, and thank God, and give substantial offering, and even organise a party for your discharge and acquittal by the court, and claim to forgive your accusers.
In Ghana today, if you are caught as a thief, armed robber, wee smoker, etc, I pity you because you will certainly be jailed for 20, 30, 40 years or more, but if you are a pen robber, be you a politician, MD, etc, or a rapist but a celebrity, you will, without doubt, be discharged and acquitted. So here we are, this is the Ghana we live in.

Asset declaration for all government appointees and politicians are vital to commence the fight against corruption. They must also be vigorously and frequently audited. Sadly, the system is highly corrupted from the presidency to ministers, members of parliament (MPs), Judiciary (judges)and Auditor General. Ghana needs a draconian president who can implement the law wisely and fairly.

The fact is that the Asset Declaration Law has not been implemented as the Law requires. Declaring Assets prior to taking up an Office is only half of the process. The other half is having the appropriate Government Authorities and Agencies assess the Assets accumulated over the period in Office at the end of service.
It is only then would we know if anyone in Public Office illegally acquired some Property, upon which the necessary Court Actions could follow as prescribed by the Constitution.
Right now, like many other Laws in Ghana, the Law has been swept aside and everyone in Public Office could be as corrupt as he or she wants with little to no repercussions at all.
So, what would the all-knowing Freddie-Blay wish we did? Annul the Law and further empower the thieves more freedom to steal from us? I bet he is counting on coming back into Public Office soon, should Akufo-Addo win the Elections in 2016. Then he would have no legal restraint to loot our State Assets as well.
The current passive state of the Law is partly due to the reluctance of the Parliament to pressure the Executive to implement the Law fully. That is because all the MPs in all their different Partisan caps enjoy in one way or another from the status quo.
The recent maneuvering by the Minority Leader to repel any competition to his Office indicates how lucrative even the Opposition leadership in Parliament could be for anyone to want to cling unto that position. And I do not believe it is only the legal stipulated remunerations for that Office that beguile the Minority Leader to become a permanent fixture in that position.
By the way, would Freddie-Blay bet his fortunes on the assumption that Graft is only a NDC creation?
Corruption is the bane of our Politics, and it is killing us. Every little legal constraint to get it diminished is helpful and needs to added unto, not dropped.
Long Live Ghana!!!

How could members of parliament have any moral authority to check presumed ills of the executive if they are just as rotten, Freddie Blay? What Ghana needs is an effective government institutions staffed with young, bright and principled Ghanaians to go after every citizen who cheat government on their taxes, who cheat the government by not reporting to work on time but collect monthly wages without remorse and to investigate members of parliament who came to parliament as poor as most Ghanaians but walk around with money falling out of their pockets in just about 4 years service in parliament.
It starts with each Member of Parliament, especially incoming freshmen, comprehensively declaring their assets before taking their seat in office. Those who fail to do so prior to taking their seats must be barred by amendments to the constitution for ensure discipline and adherence. It is when members of parliament submit to tax assessment each year without favor that Ghana as we live it would be corruption free at least not the extent of current fearless bribery and corrupting practices of our political class. Can Freddie Blay explain how on earth Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey of the NPP could have had money to purchase a government bungalow and land? Was the NPP that rich and free giving that he could have amassed that much money in Ghana upon his return from Liberia?
People have to be principled and beyond reproach to have the audacity to question others especially those of the executive branch. From where I sit it is because of the unwise counsel by Ghana’s elders that has b made corruption and vulgarity a norm in Ghana
