JESUS SAID COME UNTO ME ALL YE THAT LABOR AND ARE HEAVY LADEN AND I WILL GIVE UR REST......this beautiful invitation by JESUS TO US ALL has been destroyed by the churches today due to their pursuit of vanity upon vanity as prosperity and materialism hve become the priority of all churches thus pushing Christians to limits beyond their endurance simply to be accepted and recognized by the very clergy which was rather supposed to preach modesty, contentment, honesty, sincerity, godliness, compassion, ....now the churches's love for money and materialism has discouraged adherents from prioritizing righteousness and living a godly life.....as a result worldly pressures continue to haunt christians as they chase after vanity upon vanity all to no avail....so no wonder even the sherpherd is killing himself and leaving the sheep at the mercy of wolves lions, tigers etc etc

It is our duty as individuals to help each other find meaning in life. If we fail to build support systems that will enhance human dignity, people - no matter who they are - will find reason to take their own lives.
It is a Rev. Brother today, who it will be tomorrow, no one can tell. Let us be careful what we say and how we say it.

The priesthood and religious life are a choice one makes and if the going gets tough one is at liberty to back out. There is no need to take one's life.
You don't change the rules guide the police service, military or nurses because some people outside these services think the rules and regulations are tough. In any case, it is a choice. No one is forced into it.

The sort of language we use on each other in this country is very bad; we care not the least about the effect on the person we address. If as a result of that a person kills himself , do we say they committed suicide? No. We used their hands to murder them. Consider what some of us say about the dead. Where are our values? Since when has it become the norm to insult the dead? On the political landscape , I make similar observations and call on the relevant bodies to rise up and help reverse the situation. May I repeat this call hear to : the National House of Chiefs; the National Peace Council; the Christian and Moslem leadership organizations etc. Can we have a day off every week where our radio stations and print media do not project political issues? Let's call it a day of respite.

There is no concrete scriptural basis for a man or woman who refuses to marry. Being single will not give you undue advantage for paradise over others. It is faith and righteousness that will lead to salvation.

Mathew 5 : 19 and 20 says;
"19 Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20"For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Mathew 20 : 23 says;
And he said to them, You shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not my to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

Let nobody fool you not to marry or give you some false hope of salvation rather than what Yehoushua(Jesus) himself preached. Some may argue why himself did not marry. But you will agree with me that his stay on earth was very short even today it is possible for men to die at that age without marrying. Jesus was only 33 years old when he left this earth.

Maybe if he lived up to 50 years he would have gotten himself a wife.

There is no short cut to heaven. You have to work for it, then God will show show his mercy on you and forgive you your trespasses. But not some extraneous doctrines which end up breading sin.
