Ugly looking, but a good start. But man, why call it "TURTLE"? That is going to be a bit turn off for marketing the model. Turtle connotes slowness and sluggishness. You might say it projects durability, but let me tell you, the target audience, unless they are village farmers, this is not going to fly.
You could have called it Giwa or Osono (Elephant) instead of that frigging turtle. Why did I think I have seen this car before, and then it came to me. The car looks like the cars we used to make from milk cans when we were little in the 1960s and 1970s. Looks like chaskelen car to me. Put a style into it. Have you seen the assembled knock-down cars from Apostle Kwadwo Safo?
Note. I have my reservation on Kwadwo Safo Kantanka Cars. He claims they are Ghana made. I have my doubts. They look like assembled cars from knock-down parts from China. You may see the same cars from Alibaba.com
Can you spot any differences besides the crests on the the grids? Kwadwo Safo is importing knocked-down parts for reassembly in Ghana. It is cheaper that way than to import wholly assembled cars. But certainly he is not manufacturing these cars from concept to finished product. I stand to be corrected. Some Nigerians are doing the same thing importing knock-down parts for re-assembly in Enugu.

So proud of this news, this is what is required to bring in the revenue and also stop the dependency on Europe/US for all our needs. The government should start by the taking the initiative to purchase such cars for farmers. So once demand picks up, ordinary Ghanaians will also be enticed to purchase them and also our own artisans will also have the necessary funds to keep up production (and also build different models) and also improve upon their technology. This can also be an avennue for employment creation and also open up alot of industries locally such as aluminium smelting, logistics etc. KWAA l totally agree with your comments, but l also think that its time we also think of ways we can all contribute to mother Ghana. Government should assist innovators like these to develop their skills to world class standards. '' Kumasi legon'' students can contribute using CAD and other design software to take it to the next level. Ugly but WELL DONE
Good point. Goes to show Africans are capable of anything if they wish. The problem has always been bad leadership. Do our leaders have the will or desire or knowledge to assist such initiatives?
It looks like something I used to make with milk cans when I was a kid. But good try. More grease to the elbow
