THERE WAS A TIME WHEN THE CHRISTIAN FAMILY WAS TAUGHT TO BELIEVE THE EARTH WAS THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE. PEOPLE WHO OPPOSED THAT TEACHING TO BE FALSE WERE PERSECUTED AND KILLED AT THE STAKE.
HOW MANY PEOPLE DID THE CHRISTIANS KILL IN THE EARLY DAYS OF CHRISTIANITY ? WHO HAS APOLOGISED
FOR ALL THESE WRONGS ?
WHY WAS GALILEO PERSECUTED BY THE CHURCH FOR SAYING D TRUTH ABOUT OUR SOLAR SYSTEM VERSUS D FALSEHOOD PROPAGATED BY THE CHURCH ?
PEOPLE WHO HOLD AND LIVE BY THE WRONG VIEW OF LIFE & OUR WORLD WILL FIND IT HARD TO BE HONEST.
FOR THIS REASON, IT'S GOING TO BE DIFFICULT TO FIND A TRUE HUMAN BEING TO LEAD GHANA.

GHANA HAS BEEN RAPED BY NDC IDIOTS. WE DO NOT NEED ANY NATIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM, WE NEED A NATIONAL COURT OF JURISDICTION TO PUT MAHAMA AND HIS CABINET ON TRIAL. GHANA'S HOPELESS ECONOMIC SITUATION, TODAY, IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. NDC HAS OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS PRESIDED OVER THE BIGGEST RESOURCES IN OUR HISTORY INCLUDING CRUDE OIL & STEALTH TAXES. THEY HAVE ALSO CONTRACTED THE BIGGEST LOANS IN OUR HISTORY. IF THEY HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR THIS AND THE ECONOMY IS IN SHAMBLES, THEN,THEY MUST BE PROSECUTED. THEY MUST GIVE THE MONEYS BACK TO THE TREASURY. WE DO NOT NEED ANY ECONOMIC FORUM. SET UP A COURT IMMEDIATELY. IT HAPPENED IN THAILAND RECENTLY, PRIME MINISTER YINGLUCK SHINAWATRA WAS REMOVED BY THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT FOR ABUSING POWER. LOOK AT GHANA;-- EMBRAER PLANE SCANDAL, STX KOREA,NDC US$20 MILLION PARTY HQ., US$4 MILLION DODGY JUDGEMENT DEBT TO MRS RAWLINGS AND HER COMPANY, SUBAH, GYEEDA, WOYOMI, ISOFOTON, WATERVILLE, AFRICA AUTOMOBILE, CP, SADA, FORTIZ/MERCHANT BANK,FREE EXPENSIVE CARS FOR CHIEFS, AKONFEM AND A HOST OF OTHER DODGY JUDGEMENT DEBT PAYMENTS. BUYING VOTES WITH CASH, LAND CRUISERS & LAPTOPS JUST TO WIN ELECTIONS. WHY NDC?????? WHY??? OUR SUPREME COURT COULD NOT HELP BUT DESCRIBED IT AS "ALLIANCE TO CREATE, LOOT AND SHARE" WHAT A SHAME? ?? AND YOU CALLING GHANAIANS TO A WASTEFUL ECONOMIC FORUM. NDC, THE MONEY IS WITH YOU, GIVE IT BACK TO GHANA. NPP, I SALUTE YOUR COURAGE FOR NOT ATTENDING. NPP REMAIN SMART AND VIGILANT!!!!!

To the sycophants, sympathisers and serial callers primed to respond adversly to any finger pointed at the wrong doers in society this observation by an important member of society about an obvious but debilitating stance of the ruling govt smacks of anything but decent. There are various levels of obscenities and unwarranted and misplaced criticisms directed at the exasperated clergyman.
Now,why do we have leaders and what their roles in society?
Exactly, to direct, guide, assist, mentor and also to chide and scold when we fail; willingly and unwillingly!
When our leaders fail to be leaders, they become irrelevant and dangerous.
In spite of the systematic failures that plague all big human institutions, their leaders cannot remain quiet and indifferent to the ills of society.
What ever wrong that has been meted out on the ghanaian populace must and need be avenged! Yes avenged, ten years of rape, willful destitution and obstinacy must be investigated and addressed by the legal system.

Archbishop, Whereof Art Thou aka where have you been—to London to see the Queen?? The answer to your great question is “HELL NO”, period!!
Honesty, as I see it, is not only confined to "financial corruption" in our society. There are also Theological or Religious corruption, Intellectual or Educational corruption, Sexual, MORAL, Cultural and even aesthetic corruption in our society. Yes, it’s all that BIG down there, Negro!!
How many MEN of the CLOTH (church leaders),who are duping or STEALING from their congregations with tall tales of FALSE VISIONS from God, God said this and that to me and SLEEP with married wives & single ladies, take money from others and preach LIES to them on Sundays?
Some of our lawyers, doctors, teachers, government officials, actors, the media, drivers and even Kayeyos are all LYING and CHEATING daily, so THERE AREN'T ANY 'HONEST PEOPLE" in Ghana.
So, for your assignment, Head Negro: The clergy, which you (Buckle) is a member should START to clean your own damn house first and preach to your congregations of which many government officials (managers of the corruption industry) are members to REPENT and LIVE Godly and better lives for the development of our country and for the youth to emulate

Ghana@50, Flagstff House, Sale of GT, Sale of Ghana Airways etc under Kufuor were far worse than what is happening under Mahama. We never heard a whiff from the scruffy bearded cleric.
But when NPP lost power, all of a sudden this notorious adulterous Catholic priest started behaving like a demented bull: jumping agitatedly at the least thing he perceives to be wrong now.
If even a priest cannot be upright enough to see wrong as wrong no matter what, how can we expect the ordinary mortals to behave honestly? We really have a long way to go as a people if even our Catholic Bishops cannot even act honestly.

A lawyer named Strange died, and his friend asked the tombstone maker to inscribe on his

such an inscription would be confusing, for passersby would tend to think that three men

SURE WAY TO FIGHT CORRUPTION
We all know that because of collusion amongst people, uprooting corruption in society has always been impossible.
Neither Man nor Government can fight corruption successfully, especially in Ghana.
The only sure way to do so therefore is to resort to the SPIRITUAL means.
All we need to do is to start fighting corruption from the top and it will transcend to everyone in the country within a few months.
How do we accomplish this?
Whenever we swear in Politicians, Board Members and Senior Management of Parastatals, or any High Level Government Officials in the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), we should make sure as part of the oath of allegiance they swear to will include:
(1) A BLESSING to these individuals and their families if they perform genuinely and diligently as if, to quote Mr. Mahama, "such institutions they manage or oversee belong to their fathers".
(2) At the same time, there is a need to insert a section within the same oath of allegiance on bringing a CURSE to these same people and their families, and even from generation to generation if they ever amass wealth through corruption during the period of their public service.
What the Government can therefore do is to modify those oath of allegiances slightly to reflect these proposals and I can assure you that, Ghana will surpass even Singapore in her development within months and not even in years.

A good question but apart from dishonesty, problems facing the country are mainly self inflicted due to lack of common sense and foresight.
There are so many reasons that can be identified to the cause of the country's woes and there should be soul searching in order to amend our mentality especially on the part of decision makers.
The sheer talking even from you the so called God'sman, won't change anything for the good unless we all refrain from lying and have value for prestige.
We've all been talking, complaining, blaming, what have you and yet when it comes to doing,we fail in all aspects.
Honesty is a strange word to most Ghanaians and are proud and find it alright to embezzle the nation's funds to satisfy their selfishness.
After all these years,Ghana as a sovereign state hasn't been able to take a step forward in anything in terms of development.
All we do is rain insults on each other and yet not one single person from our so called leaders will own up to the country's failures.

Ghana is neither a state, nor a nation: Ghana is ruled by self-serving narcissistic, vegetative vassals calling themselves politicians, but are salivating over a spate of zero-sum corruption, with the seat of government; the flagstaff house and the castle as centers of patronage and disbursement of ill-gotten wealth, while those at the top hierarchy of the bureaucracy also succumb to second-tier corruption of let-us-all enjoy, leaving the third tier administrative officials to fight over the crumps falling off the grandiose corruption tables at our Ministries.
Ghana is indeed getting to the Biblical foibles of Sodom and Gomorrah.

MY TAKE:
The power ships would rather bridge the gap in Ghana's quest to find sustainable means of power supply...
THIS IS TYPICAL COCK AND BULL STORY!!
HOW DO YOU FIND A SUSTAINABLE MEANS OF POWER GENERATION AND SUPPLY USING SHIP STATIONED IN SEA WATER?
SEA WATER IS HIGHLY CORROSIVE TO ALL 99% OF KNOWN METALS, WHICH MEANS AS LONG AS METALS ARE USED ON ANY PART OF THIS POWER GENERATION PLANT, THE PLANT CAN NEVER COUNTERACT CORROSIVE DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS EVEN IF THOSE COMPONENTS WERE MADE OF GOLD AND PLATINUM.
ONLY FOOLS WOULD INVEST SO MUCH MONEY (USD) IN SOMETHING AS SHORT-TERM AS THIS, KNOWING VERY WELL THAT THE DESIGN LIFE EXPECTANCY OF SUCH A MARINE-BASED EQUIPMENT WOULD NEVER BE MORE THAN 10 YEARS.
GHANA LEADERS ARE SOMETHING ELSE!!!
THAT'S HOW WAMPAH, GHANA'S CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR, DUMPED SO MUCH US DOLLARS INTO GHANA'S ECONOMY IN A QUANTITATIVE EASING "CHACHA" MEASURE TO "STABILIZE" THE DEPRECIATING GHANA CEDI EXCHANGE RATE. WHAT A MESS IT WAS!

To Center the bulk Business in only the capital town is one of the Major headache and obstacle to minimise corruption in the Country.
let us take passport Office as an eg. and let us asume every district had a passport Office, that if you live in offinso district you must apply for a passport through your district Asemble. The People will not travel to Kumasi or Accra before getting a passport. in the district the district comand can reach the applicant in Person through the Asembleman of the Area. all passport must have Features from the district and Region the applicant was Born. The Diaspora child as an applicant - the passport must Feature the hometown of the father or the mother as the district and Region.then move on to the second step as to how Long it must be taken-4weeks Maximum by law. by so doing the congestions and guruboys will be a Thing of the past.
we must start as a Nation to educate and develope our districts as home Offices to solve some of the Problems in the Country.
Asuming Money had been given to district asemblies to build or construct their own specific roads, it will be easier for the asemblemen to check it than given the Money to a contractor in Accra to construct a road in upper west.

I wish you had put this question to your congregation. It is not too late, you can do so on Sunday. Yes because if or when the number falls below the family of Lot ( Genesis 19 ) God will destroy the country. Ghana as a nation is loved very much by God and so has it in His scheme of things. That is why He is too patient with us which means giving us more time to repent. Because the righteous are very very few they are not noticed. Just like the days of the prophet Elijah God has reserved some righteous ones to Himself who have not partake or not partaking in the filthy corruption show of power and lawlessness going on in the country. Ghana sowed some seed during this genration, like the parable of the wheat and terse, so as a nation we reaping the fruits. This is a very complex issue which will not take one lecture to deal with. We as a nation have long turn our backs to God and He has delivered us into the hands of cruel masters. Do you think what Ghana is going through is happening at the blind side of God. He is still in control of things. What is happening in Ghana today could be blamed on the church and the mosque. Matthew 15 : 7-9 speaks volumes against the church and the mosque and schools and colleges. We live in a country where innocent blood have been shared " legally " and political party manifesto has been signed with human blood, where political power is excised at the expense of the ordinary Ghanaians and with impunity. Church and Mosques leaders have abandoned their God given roles as ggatekeepers and have become bedfellows with the politicians. These days churches boasts of the numbers political office - holders who worship with them. Some of the mega churches accept offerings and tithes in hard cash or cheques from their Ghana based congregation. The Church and the Mosque are worshipping wealth and riches. The have embraced the kingdoms of the world Jesus rejected. Please let the church and the mosque take census in the churches and mosques and see how many of their respective members hold positions of TRUST in Ghana. To reverse the trend in Ghana now we as a nation have to trace back to God. God will save Ghana. AMEN.

Strong institutions, systems and transparaency is the answer. As for the human race, they will do what they are doing when you leave them in the wild like we have in Ghana. Just go the streets and what it cost to get a passport, birth cert, business registeration. I went to a district assembly for a copy of their by-laws and fee fixings and they asked me to apply in writing. Nothing is known by the ordianry Ghanaian and therefore prone to corruption at all cost.

When the clergy form associations to favor each other, when the clergy is interested in providing jobs, universities entrance for unqualified children of church members, when the pastors stop encouraging their church members to bring in donations, when we preach in the church that every Ghanaian is relevant not only church members, when we go to church believing that there is one pastor who can make me rich, etc. Yes, those little things also matter! The politicians at the top have graduated from the favors they received earlier on to move to the top without merits and you now see them stealing BIG! Charity begins at home!

Why is it so difficult to fight the canker of corruption if we are really serious as a country? If somebody steals and he/she is caught, what do we do to that person, according to the laws of Ghana? Go with what the law says. The fact of the matter is that because "All Ghanaians" are thieves, I mean, from Presidents to the bottom person, the approach to the problem is difficult. I don't think, the answer is far fetched from United States of America. In America, the law will give you the chance to prove yourself. If you are caught with the law, then the price is paid. We need to be Action oriented society, rather than, "just talk talk" society. Ghana's main problem is the fact that, we are not serious at all as a nation. We want short cut in life, easy to get rich without putting enough energy. We all pretend as children of God; a lot pastors, children of God, and etc. At the same time, these same people calling themselves pastors, children of God go to work places. So whom are you deceiving? Stop the noise, and begin to Act. Those nonsense will not take us anywhere.

I have been saying this all along that corruption in Ghana is not a finger pointing business. We should all as a nation say no to corruption. How many politicians have been cited for corruption? Is it the case that when the President appoints people and they go get themselves corrupt then the President and executive is tagged? We need to made corruption a high risk commodity by punishing perpetartors swiftly. Look at Gyeeda case and the somersaulting in court. Dont we see how expeditiously the advanced world deal with issues. The swiftness will also send signals. I am aware of some NPP former ministers whose cases are in court to date. Is this fair? Are we serious? The clergy, Imams should wake up and make corruption a preaching message in their churches and mosques. Pastors should devote a week in a month for preaching and teaching of corruption. pastors stop receiving gifts from members which you think they could not have afforded. Why the gifts anyway?

There is no honest man on earth, but surely we do have dedicated, generous and hardworking people. Ghana has the men and women with such ability but greed has become our cornerstone. The appetite to readily and quickly revenge by amass and corrupt always seduces our sense of direction and priorities and that has remained our focus and obsession. Corruption is a deadly disease for developing nation like Ghana that has weakened every government since 1957. We accept it and talk more about it but do not have the courage to fight it or reduce its tempting seducing spirit but rather passively embrace to form part of our culture in every corner of society. To gradually eradicate this deadly epidemic obsessive compulsion, a new government must firstly embark on re-education of our civic responsibility to become our new pledge of allegiance for all citizens. Public education and publicity to educate the awareness and destruction as result of corruption must earnestly begin including bill boards and displays in offices, schools and public places. Ghana has every resource to transition itself from this stigma of corruptive failed state and be exploited; we need selective few dedicated, industrious and patriotic dedicated selfless able men and women to focus on progress and development.

Ghana is in a sad place.
Come 2016, John Mahama, who's track record of corrupt activity is there for all to see, will be up against Nana Akuffo Addo,
For years now, Nana Akuffo Addo has refused to disclose the source his professional credentials by undermining the issue and those who bring up the issue.
If we are a serious country, in the very least, no person should be allowed as a candidate for the highest office in a country without making basic disclosures as to the source of their claimed professional credentials, especially when genuinely credible questions have been raised about the same.
We live in a country where people lie during the vetting process prior to confirmation for government appointments without consequence.
Some might, ask what a person's credentials have to do with the ability to govern?
If our leaders hide what should basic public disclosures, how do we expect them to be honest with the national coffers?
Remember, after independence, no foreigner or foreign born person has ruled Ghana. And we all see the carnage we've done to ourselves.
We choose our leaders come from within us.

The best form of defence is to attack.
The Bishop asked if there are honest men in the country and said corruption is at an all-time high and he is making a general assertion so why attack the bishop and rain insults on him? This people have no shame therefore they justify everything and draw their opponents into a discussion that has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with their opponents.
I firmly believe that most of them who attack and rain insults on other commentators on this site are not the people they claim they are and try to create a non-existent identity to be able to attack and rain insults on other commentators.
Corruption galore. There is a scandal, I mean a huge one every quarter.
They are so corrupt that you may think that is what they were voted for to come and do.
People that started accountability are now afraid of that same word that they introduced into the Ghanaian culture, but let it be known to these people that the day of reckoning will surely come, it may be sooner or later but it will surely come.
rain insults on him? It's because they
have no answer to the issue raised by the
Bishop therefore their best way of dealing with the issue is to rain insults on him.
The Bishop's question is very relevant.
Those who were shouting corruption, corruption during President Kufuor's term are th emselves swimming deep in
corruption.
