In any walk of life, business etc if you take a loan then the person/entity that is lending you money will set conditions. It is not for the government or even Ghanaians to complain about the conditions but i) how can we make best of what has been provided and ii) how to avoid getting into the same situation.
The problem IMF will be to blame for is that if NDC doesn't stick to the conditions then IMF shouldn't then act surprised. IMF either is being very trusting or naive or has an agenda with knowing Ghana is becoming indebted and knowing the government will not follow through, leaving the country at the mercy of investors/donor countries.

On the other hand, it serves Ghanaians well because they voted with their stomach instead of their brains. Next time, all and sundry should think twice when voting.

President Mahama and the Ndc government were advised to tread cautiously, as regards the governance of the country. Dr. Bawumia warned them on a number of occasions. They refused to listen and kept to their old bad ways of reckless borrowing. This has landed the whole country in the mess we are in. Unfortunately, those whose lack of knowledge of governance, selfishness, greed and other corruptible practices lead to this sorry state, will continue to enjoy the largess of their office. The innocent headless beings who continue to give them fans in exchange for peanuts, are the ones to suffer now and will continue to do so in the future. Unfortunately, some bystanders, hard working entrepreneurs, straight working people and those not gainfully employed, will also feel the effects of the recklessness of the team (B) who now parade as a government.

The conditions are reasonable but any sensible ceo in the country knows that. The loan will just add to our debts without any benefits and from their track record an organisation like the imf should know that. Cutting down the waste is all we need as well as wealth creation investments to bring the income. In short, bring in the npp or cpp to run the economy.

Mahama and his incompetent bigotry government should show by example a single country in the entire world succeeded transforming the lives of the people and country with IMF loan?
Ghana is broke because of mismanagement of our resource, misplacement of national priority, lack of leadership with vision and shameless criminal activities of people in power.
IMF is simply not the answer to Ghana's unbearable social economic situation.
The answer is having the right people to govern and manage our little resource for the benefit of all.
Mahama like his associate non-performer Nigerian past President Good-Luck Jonathan must go and go he must, come 2016.

How do we set our priorities? Using tax payers money to buy and distribute computers, tractors and pick-ups because of elections? Putting foot soldiers on government payrolls, serial callers on payroll and others whose job is to sit before their laptops to defend the undefensible. We shall all see.

Kuffour left a strong economy. An economy that was to generate hope and aspiration. Mahama and his hopeless government is a disgrace to this country. Mahama is just a candle blowing in the wind . Not knowing who to turn to and even the reason why he exist. By assassinating his mentor Atta- Mills he fills an empty space that is disorder and defies his capacities of positive thinking. A dare-devil he had planned to be. But what is the price of a man if he loses his senses after robbing everything that is not his. ? As a man he has no life and depends on ghost intuitions for his survival. For everyone in his right senses will never robb his country of $27billion and go for $918 million bail-out. Colonel Acheampong never did that anyway, so why so much murder !Rawlings must pay ! Mahama and family must be banished.! They deserved what they incorporated : DEATH !

Where are they? The spin doctors who damned anybody who dared to advice caution on how the economy was being managed. IMF should ask the company operating the oil company operating the Jubilee Oil Fields to give back some of the $250 billion it accrued in less than 3 years of its operation of which a misery sum of $1 billion given to to the govt. and nobody seems to know how much in total the company invested in the oil fields for them to 'haul' away $249 billion in profits-50% of this amount erases Ghana's internal and external debts yet our leaders chooses to do nothing about it while IMF prescribes 'bitter economic pills'as Ghanaians suffer economically and socially! (Please read this same website of February 1st, 2015- Ghana earns $1 billion from oil sales/revenue)
