I guess Otumfuo is missing the point, these companies do not belong to Ghanaians or the government, they are there to make a profit and therefore are not training grounds for Ghanaians. They employ based on competence, experience and merit and not the criteria we use for employment which technically is based sometimes on ethnicity and whom you know. There are set job requirements for opened positions, and it is either you meet it or not. Otumfuo is advocating for running these multinational companies like we run the ministries.
Perhaps we should also ask the Otumfuo to give up his position for someone more competent and less controversial to run the Ashanti kingdom.

Many Caribbean countries have that law on their books to prevent wealthy Americans from owning their countries. It also keeps the price of homes and land affordable for the natives.

We can take a contract away from them if they don't meet the SLAs or get required deliverable, but we cannot interfere with the actual operations of the company.

i think the king has some point.In SA,Botswana,Zimbabwe ,Namibia they would not allow foreigners to occupy some leadership positions in companies.However in Ghana ,we allow everyone.Even if competent Ghanaians from outside apply for these jobs they are ignored.If you cannot appoint Ghanaians , you need to show efforts that within a certain period of time you will have Ghanaians to occupy those positions.Empwerment means getting the right people to occupy positions and let the cash stay in Ghana. I know numerous foreigners who occupy top positions in Ghana mines who will not occupy same positions in SA,Australia etc.
