The mere fact that the cedi has always depreciated does not mean it cannot be stablised or even appreciate.the main issue is the rate at which it's depreciating.government import of non essential items is one of the causes.if ... read full comment
The mere fact that the cedi has always depreciated does not mean it cannot be stablised or even appreciate.the main issue is the rate at which it's depreciating.government import of non essential items is one of the causes.if government imports wealth creating items like agric inputs this will help mitigate the depreciation issue by not only bringing in dollars from exports but it will also reduce the demand for dollars to import the things we can produce locally.so you see,our destiny is in our hands.we can in the medium term control the cedi rather than sit down like chickens waiting to see what happens. We dont all think like the ndc or shd I say the ndc does not think at all.
