For over two hundred years, Anglo-American mining and other foreign entities had mined and caused irreparable damage to our environment without any strong laws to hold them responsible and all you a man like any other man could say is wish they do the right thing? But none has done the right thing for all these years, so what will make them do it on their own volition this time around heh?
When BP spilled oil in the US sea, all Americans and their govt declared war on BP. The US CEO resigned under pressure and fisher folk were compensated for lost of revenue and and tourist companies far from the epic center in Florida even got paid as crude oil residue were showing up in their shores.
When it comes to foreigners messing up with our very survival in this life that we all have an equal rights to live, our men lose their manhood and developed vagina.

Well said Elinam. Have you seen the lakes of extremely toxic chemicals these conglomerates create? As usual the small fish is blamed. They have no balls when it comes to the big fish or are they in their pockets?

Do we have real leaders in the country with commandeering respect of authority who makes sure right things are done and our laws respected and ensure those who commit horrendous crimes like illegal destruction of our environment are brought to justice and punished?
How do you stupidly appeal to criminals who invade your fathers house and began to scatter everything your father left as legacy? This is exactly what the minister has done by appealing to these heartless criminals who are unbelievingly destroying our bestowed environments with impunity whilst we helplessly look on.
What are the laws protecting the environment and what new restrictive measures is the minister putting in place to protect our once cheeriest environment, like the rivers and streams that served as drinkable water for our villages and the trees that helped to bring us rain falls, healthy breathing air and natural joy and the land, our blood?
We will all die as people if the environment is not stopped from the senseless pollution and destruction from these self seeking greedy foreign and local criminals if we helplessly do nothing and watch the natural environment killed off.
For the sake of country and people,I expect the minister to issue holistic and restrictively controlled measures to protect our dying environment, now!!!
The question still remains, who is issuing these heartless criminals with the operative license and authority?

for the sake of vote and the urge to stay in power, our leaders have refused to act when there is blatant disregard for the law. They sat aloof and allowed the Chinese and their Ghanaian collaborators to destry all our fresh water bodies. Very soon Ghanains will be faced with serious water shortage and its ramifications.

Laws are put in place to protect people and the environment. For people to abide by it, that's why we have law enforcement.
If u can't put any law in place to protect the environment and to make sure the laws are enforced then parliament must be dissolve and the whole police force must be sent to the village to farm.
I guess they will be more beneficial to the country than just carrying titles and doesn't do your job which we use the ordinary Ghanaian tax payers money to pay u.
I guess now the galamsey operators are more powerful than the whole police force and the government. We don't want to hear any complain again. Its a big shame.
Just shut up you mouth NDC thieves
