France has forced the so-called francophone jimi jimi nations to deposit their foreign reserves in French Central Bank in Europe and used as a collateral to borrow funds for bankrupted Spain,Portugal, Italy and Greece. It was risky and the details were not corresponded to the jimi jimi nations in west and central Africans.
France has been using this money since the 1960s to borrow back to African nations including cowardly Ghana with high interest and give only pea nut percent of one half percent to the jimi jimi nations.

Elinam, we're poor by choice because we're short sighted, greedy, selfish and narrow minded. Inter tribal rivalry, bigotry and feuding are perhaps the greatest inhibitors to national unity and development.
In 1983, a group of curious Israeli citizens then resident in Madina, Accra asked me if it is true we have gold and diamond. When I answered with an obvious yes the follow-up question was: "then why are you so poor? " This last question and its answer caused me a huge embarrassment and deflation of my ego.
We support politicians not because of their personal integrity, competence and patriotism but because "we're both from the same tribe". We support and defend murderers and both pen and armed robbers even when they steal millions of dollars from the national coffers and make everyone poor. I'm not picking on any particular tribe because we're not any different from each other but why in God's name will our president choose someone who has publicly declared that his allegiance to tribe comes before allegiance to nation as chairman of council of state?
Mobutu Sese Seko became a walking bank from hundreds of millions he stole from his country, making his nation one of the poorest in the world yet he had full support from his tribe.
In Africa we don't care how you make your money. The end justifies the means policy has hardly iimpacted African nations for good because it leads us to reap where we've not sowed.
There's no incentive for hard work because we're used to seeing people getting super rich who have no industries. Their industries are their connections in government yet we ask no questions and allow people to get away with crime.
Then we're quick to help foreigners enrich themselves at our expense if only they will give us "something small" as a reward.
We need a shift in mentality, a paradigm shift in the way we protect our national assets and the way we conduct our personal and national businesses.

I always say the right mindset is the foundation upon which we will build a stronger Nation and a Continent.

The economy is hitting many families hard and many have run out of ideas.

Sending profits out of Ghana is almost impossible or very expensive (via the B.O.G)In a Globalised world, money have to be enabled to flow freely 24/7. Ghana does not understand that.
