When you look at the people against the involvement of ordinary Ghanaians, you will notice that they are from particular areas of the country and are not used to cleanliness. They are used to shitting in the bush and drinking dirty river water. They are the same people who die from diseases brought on by filth. I will encourage the mayor not to give up and hopefully these DIRTY BASTARDS will change their ways.

one of Minister Woyongo ' s
comprehensive approach to tackling this very important task.The mayor must stop harassing traders and other citizens and focus on a lasting solution.

My grandson visited Ghana in 2012 when he was 9years. When he came back the first question he asked was "Why is it that there are uncovered gutters on our road sides?" which of course makes it possible for people to drop their litters. You see this is a boy of 9-years seeing that it was not wise to design our roads like that. Most gutters along side our roads need to be covered to avoid the droppings.

Believe you and me if that is done, anybody who is holding a thrash will find it difficult to drop it in the road or on the road side. Should litter droppings happened at all, Zoomlion will find it easier picking than working from the gutters.

Couple of months ago in Kualalumpu, capital city of Malaysia, a group of concerned citizens made monetary contributions to buy materials to patch the potholes in the city's road. The Mayor stopped them from doing that and told them that it is the responsibility of the city government to do that job with tax payers money and assured them that, all bottlenecks impeding them from doing their work would be dealt with and promised that weeks ahead they will see a change on the city's roads. This is what we call a listening administration and not AMA of buga-buga governance. Tax payers have to see that their taxed money is put into good use than people sitting in officers taking fat salaries and allowances and making unnecessary noises.

To solve this sanitation problems,these measures could be adopted, 1. Providing gabbage cans across the city. 2. Assigning people or gabbage trucks who will pick the gabbage out,so as not to overflow. 3.place bigger containers in communities so that residents could also dump their refuse, but money should not be taken from residents for dumping the refuse In the gabbage truck. When monies are taken from residents, those who don't have it to pay,will just discard theirs,anywhere. After it has emerged that it is free for every one to dispose off their gabbage for free,then a law could be passed that anybody found to be littering any part of the country will be prosecuted. This is my peace of advice

Why should people pay taxes to AMA and then be expected to do the job AMA is supposed to be doing? In almost all civilized and developed places around the world, sanitation is carried out by companies and agencies who are paid from the taxes people pay.
It is stupid and absolutely incomprehensible that tax payers are asked to come out and clean the streets. People should start asking the AMA what is it that they do with all the resources available to them.

In the year 2000 when NPP came to power, the pro- NPP spare parts dealers openly came out to declare that they had decided to reduce prices of spare parts upon the assumption of power by Prez Kuffour. What did we see when NDC came to power in 2009? The spare parts dealers intentionally increased prices a hundredfold. Refusing to take part in the Clean-up should not surprise any right-thinking Ghanaian. They are simply telling the Government this is NDC WAHALA, AND MUST BE SOLVED BY NDC MEMBERS.
