WHAT ARE THE REST OF US TO THE DEAD GOAT?
WE NEED SENSIBLE AND EXPERIENCE PEOPLE TO LEAD GHANA. VOTE THE USELESS NDC PARTY OUT IN 2016. MAHAMA DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING AT THE PRESIDENCY. HE IS ONLY CELEBRATING HIS POSITION LIKE A MOVIE ACTOR. VOTE HIM OUT IN 2016.

Is it not because of 2016 elections that they are making all these noise just to attract attention and then they will tell you "Yentie Obiara, Oguanfun, If the kitchen is hot, you can take your Passport and go away, etc etc. Who will vote for NDC, the Dumsor Party, SADA Party etc etc. We are fed up with that Party.

Ghana is not a static state where a housing deficit of 1.7m have been trumpeted for over a year.
Do we grow as a nation? If we do then why are we fixated with the figure 1.7m as our housing deficit. The mockery of it all is when politicians believe that after building 1.7m houses in 10 years the problem will be solved.
What this thinking lack is whether there will be fresh and new requirements for houses in the next 10 years and not captured. So the vicious cycle of deficit will be endless. Are there any strategicanalysts in there? Oh Ghana

Talk is cheap. NDC abandoned the construction of all the affordable housing projects started by the NPP. Find out for yourselves, Kumasi and Accra has the bulk of these projects, they are now uncompleted high rise apartment /condominium buildings which are now occupied by local drug dealers and robbers. Use your critical thinking, talk is cheap. It's all about cheap talk for 2016.

Ms Abena Ntori, a Representative of the UN-Habitat, said the launch of the Policy was timely at a period where sustainable housing was just yet to gain prominence in Ghana, while decent and safe housing remained a dream for the majority of the population, especially the urban poor.
She said the need to construct more housing units had become more critical because the phenomenon of climate change had come to stay, given that the housing sector alone was responsible for nearly 40 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions in cities.
She said a better housing and slum upgrading would, therefore, contribute to reducing social inequalities and improving urban safety and quality of life, through their socio-economic and spatial impacts.

WHILE WE ARE AT IT, REMEMBER THAT THE HOUSES WILL REQUIRE INFRASTRUCTURE SUCH AS WATER, POWER, ROADS, SCHOOLS ETC. SO, GET THE PLANNING OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE
BEFORE THE HOUSING. FOR EXAMPLE, PROVISION OF WATER MAINS, SCHOOLS AND ROADS HAVE TO BE THE FIRST STAGES IN THE HOUSING PROJECTS. SOMEONE SAID THERE ARE WATER HYDRANTS FOR FIRE PROTECTION IN ACCRA. I DO NOT SEE WHERE THEY ARE LOCATED. WITHOUT WATER HYDRANTS, FIRE FIGHTING IS AN IMPOSSIBILITY. PLANNING, PLANNING AND PLANNING IS THE KEY TO DEVELOPMENT OF ANY COMMUNITY.

We ve all this blue print on the drawing board already started by our first president Dr Kwame Nkrumah and later General Acheampong who was killed by Mr Rawlings. Now no country is developed by the state alone but policies have, you count the houses on each Street and tell me how many is own by government, even the small regulatory roll given to various institutions to check encroachment in to roads and railway lines ve failed, we re a nation of jokers and talkatives. Now that we re in power crisis and ghacem is not producing full capacity and prices up, you wait and see when the problem is solve to see if cement price ll come down, it has happened in the past because politicians ll go for bribes and allow them to cheat poor Ghanaians. So how do you expect quality and beautiful building or affordable buildings?we re enemies to our own country, it's so painful if you travel abroad and see how structures re so organize, water bodies flowing fresh and modern trains, you ask yourself if John Mahama has a dream,i ask incase we decide to ve bullet trains where is the land to do so? Common buses the state can not afford for STC to operate effectively.Go to Osu the middle of our capital and see the kind of wooden houses there, I'll advice government to negotiate with landlords and build sky scrappers and give some floors to the original owners and rent the rest and see if Accra ll devolope or not, infact they should start with just one community.Even Tema look at the type of home they built at commity 3 and sakumono.Allah help our vision less governments.
