These OBSTRUCTIONS to the DELIVERY of JUSTICE in our Courts is not a new PHENOMENA.
This case makes the Headlines because of the High Profile Lawyer on the Docket.
Even Testimonies get OBLITERATED if you do not "ACKNOWLEDGE" the Court Clerks regularly and Recordings get "ATTACKED" by virus if you do not strike a "Lunch Acquaintance" with the Recorder.
What some of us may not be aware of is that Corruption has EATEN so Much into the FABRIC if our Nation that Every Institution and Everything in it is TAINTED and COMPROMISED.

Legions of CJs and AGs have looked on sheepishly as many of these 'greedy bastards' have been allowed to amass fortunes, and thus become untouchable.
Let`s face it, what does it take to 'fish out' the desperadoes involved in these scam, especially those who duty it is maintain proper custody of such documents? And when such 'useless' people rise up to demand antiquated perks, like clothing allowance, so-called sane people offer their support to them!
Look,we aian`t seen nothing yet in this country!!!

In this age of computers and technology, I cannot understand why they are not storing the court documents / dockets electronically to avoid the mischief of the courts, especially these clerks who have made it a habit of taking bribes from both sides of a case. They intentionally hide or destroy the dockets for their mischievous intentions.
We are doomed if the courts continue to operate this archaic way - no hope for justice.

The ordinary Joe goes through everyday when accessing justice delivery in this country! And I can say with absolute certainty that, had this involved the 'common person' on the street,he or she would have been assaulted tor having the impudence to question court officials about the disappearance of a docket.
Btw, is it normal practice for Judges to appraise themselves about the facts of cases, particularly in cases of this nature,in open court? We can be certain that, nothing is going to happen to the perpetrator(s) of such dastardly 'stunt' calculated to subvert justice. And in this day and age,why can`t we reproduce this info in real time from back up systems?
No wonder our courts are choked with a horrendous backlog of cases, even though more resources/facilities have been made available to the judiciary?

Missing docket happens to the ordinary person at all the times.
The clerks should be replaced from time to time.
Only when it happens to the other lawyers do we hear about it. What a justice in Ghana. God sees all these.

I am not surprised. This is common practice in Ghana to kill cases prematurely without justice served.
It happened in the Ya Naa case where loss of evidential documents caused the dismissal of Murder charges against the suspects. Many supporting the culprits claimed victory. But that was gross execution of injustice on technicalities.
Our Judiciary is replete with such tactics, including what happened in the case of Woyomegate that set Woyome free. The Prosecution has a host of dirty tricks to fake intent of prosecuting a case, only to have the Court dismiss the culprit based on the technicality artificially created by the Prosecution.
Here, we see how the Court Clerk could play a role in such premature killing of a case at the Court. If the Lawyer, Ayikoi Otoo, had not called some other source to inquire why the docket was missing, the case could have been completely manipulated to serve the favor of the other side of the case.
Now, we know why Corruption cannot be easily uprooted in Ghana. The Court Clerk in this case and all who might have caused the disappearance of the Lawyer's docket must be promptly reprimanded to deter others from copying such dirty tactic to impede Justice.
Long Live Ghana!!!
