The African Development Bank (AfDB) has come out to state categorically that they erroneously included Ghana with a group of countries under sanctions before them on the 17th February, 2015. Realising their terrible mistake, they quickly corrected that mishap on the 18th February, the very next day since Ghana, they claimed, is honouring her obligation to them accordingly.
Now, the desperados by which Kofi Bloomberg Mahamudu Bawumia is the second in command, can't take the correction on the matter vividly stated before all and have to go out on a limb like always to propagate falsehood to suit their agenda any which way necessary. Some may say the AfDB is telling a lie to save face on behalf of the NDC party.
Really!
Well, if that is the case, then isn't African Development Bank Group (AfDB) shooting her own foot with the classic silver bullet by painting it rosy in the name of Ghana under this administration whilst the Mahama-led government keeps defaulting on their obligations before the very AfDB? Amazing statistics coming only from the chest of the NPP's camp.

As a lecturer, I would say in the interest of students we do not twist facts for political gains. I do not mind if it was a political presentation or rally but an academic exercise, well, my boss Dr Bawumia, the person I admire so much got it wrong. As in academia one month is very long to have corrected the error if not for a political gimmick. I respect the NPP to be full of intellectuals who have got so many things right about the Ghanaian economy but this time my honourable doctor is wrong hands down! In this internet age, I have to revise my notes almost every forty-eight hours so as not to be challenged by my students because some of them are much ahead of what is happening around the world. Having said the above, we cannot rubbish the whole presentation as useless. Some lines he touched can be useful and should not be ignored.

For a govt which lacks any credibility and this lack of credibility acclaimed world wide since the 90's, it is disingenuous to hear this dame govt talk about figures being wrong. Recently the figures this govt took to the IMF for a bailout from the gov't's own mouth they admitted, had issues for which reason the IMF had to do a very very serious and detailed review of the numbers since they didn't agree with the data being presented by this NDC govt.
With such a discredited govt with discredited data, one would need independent source of data which is untainted and reflects much more closely with the developments on the ground and makes economic sense of the trends and movements being captured and churned out by the NDC govt since with the discredited data, the correlations being advanced to show the actualites by govt were at best a smokescreen and an apparition.
This is what the MOFA data presented and from that relatively independent data, once again the acclaimed lack of credibility of the NDC govt has been exposed.
It is laughable when this discredited NDC govt plays the ostrich in these matters.
On the issue of donor support, can Mona Quartey verify if their NDC govt have been receiving that MDBS?
The Mahama-led NDC govt should exhibit some level of seriousness with governance and stop making a mockery of themselves. This is embarrassing.

Finally,we want judicious application of our financial resources. The imprudent and nonsensical incurring of 'judgement debts' is ridiculous and wasteful. It needs to stop!

This is precisely the issue with Ghana politics. There is no looking at the bigger picture. This is like arguing who has the better fire fighting equipment when the house is burning down. People don’t seem to understand that irrespective of what NDC say about Bawumia and incorrect/correct data the simple test is where is the country now compared to the last administration (and by that I include Mills)?
The issue is are any of these better now under NDC Mahama government then in the past two administrations (covering 10 years)
Debt to GDP ratio
Levels of corruption
Loans from overseas
Health care
Education
Jobs
ENERGY SUPPLY
The silly arguments NDC is putting forward is like someone arguing that their debt and poor money management (which will sink their household/family) is not as high as their relatives claim...more worried about making show and what people say then actually getting the family finances in order.
That is why I find it truly frustrating.....this is not an NPP or NDC issue it’s about wanting competent leaders which Mahama is not. Mills was more competent than Mahama, so was Kuffour...NDC supporters need to understand that when lights go off, prices rise and the cedi drops it won’t pass you by simply because you are NDC unless like a lot of people commenting here you live abroad.
