Until we have changed the way our government operates and the legislative and executive arms earn the income that suits their input, there will be no change in the life of the ordinary Ghanaian; by that I don't mean only poor people, but anybody outside politics who is also not a celebrity.
What do I mean by that? Until parliamentarians and ministers stop getting wages that they don't deserve, they will never see any reason why Ghanaians are complaining. If they see the need for all the benefits that they have allotted to themselves to make life comfortable because to them that is the reality of today's economic condition, why do they think that comfort should be denied others outside politics? People of Ghana, your legislators and the executive arm will never change anything to their disadvantage. It is you and I who will have to change the status quo. I'm bringing this up today and I believe people will take it up from here and talk about it till the constitution is amended. The amendment must see a change in the situation where legislators pass bills on benefits that goes to them without any trouble, but refuse to do the same for others. They must not decide how much they earn; that must be decided by the people, and it must go up in proportion with that of the rest of us. The free this and free that must cease. That does not make them feel what we feel, and therefore does not lead to taking sensible decisions to solve our problems. It will also be less attractive to nobodies who resign their jobs to seek greener pasture there only to enrich themselves.
The second issue is the situation where a parliamentarian is given a ministerial appointment yet, continue to be a legislator. Yes, the constitution allows that, but common sense must tell us that it is not proper, and they can never perform efficiently in both capacities. I'm therefore not surprise that things are not working for us. Somebody must talk about this, I have started it. Let's talk and call for a change. We have the power to turn things around. The politicians will not do it, left to them.

But what do we see in Mahama's appointments? If it is not a northerner it is a Trokosi. Who can tell me Mahama Ayariga, baba Jamal or Sammy Okudjeto 'dems ' are more competent than James Agyenim Boateng to beat the later to any political appointment? And the million dollar question is , how many Gas , Nzemas, and, in particular, Brongs, not to mention Asantes, Fantis, Kwahus, Akwapims etc, are represented in this propagandist incompetent NDC Mahama led administration? However, similar roles exist in the USA where they are usually called Inspector-Generals. They follow up all Government and State-sponsored projects with regular, periodic assessment to check if the projects are proceeding according to schedule, expected quality standards, and within budget.

Then finally, when the projects are claimed to have been completed, the Inspectorate does its final quality assessment to authenticate any claims for final payment and commissioning of the Project. That role is crucial as it detects and stops corruption before the worst happens. See below what Wikipedia says about the role of the Inspector-General in the USA:

"Office of the Inspector General (OIG) is an office that is part of Cabinet departments and independent agencies of the United States federal government as well as some state and local governments. Each office includes an Inspector General and employees charged with identifying, auditing, and investigating fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement within the parent agency. In addition to representing Departments within the United States Government, some OIG's exist to investigate specific offenses (exp. Small Business Loans Office of Inspector General)."

Never in mine time have I come across such variety of sinister comments about a leader in my life ; so now Jon Mahama has seen the light and thought it wise to appoint another set of possible performancers who know something about governance ; there bunch of of know nothing NDC riff rats with no aim with intent to steal state monies and have today been discarded with these northern stealers and latrine boys to the back seat ; the problem is what happens if things do not go well because to me it is too late ; what Jon Mahama should also understand is that for years the elite tribal class from GA and Fante have always been in the front seat of governance in Ghana ; they are confident well educated and knew what they were doing ; today in an effort to try and promote these uneducated northners and some Ayigbe/EWE thieves and fast talkers ; the proper elite group who know governance were discarded ; the GAS and Fantes are the class who have always done the operations of governance long since Nkrumah's time ; I think somebody have told Jon Mahama that he should bring the confident class of people who can handle governance not these latrine and varanda boys from the north and these NDC stealers whose aim is to make money for themselves and not create wealth for Ghana .
