I don't understand why we should sell crude at this time.we should use it locally and forget about crude export.we can generate more locally than exporting.

It is because we do not own our crude. It is owned by foreign companies who need to be paid in hard currency. Until we learn to harness our own resources, we shall forever be receiving crumbs in the midst of plenty.

Do you know how much it cost to build the oil rig and the cost recovery involved?Or you forgot about the goose laying the golden eggs?
What about the redundancy of the oil workers and its effect on aggregate purchasing power on the economy,and the knee-deep pot holes which cannot be filled up are,as a result,will kill and maim innocent lives?
Our eyes are red.So the hollow outbursts which point to sycophancy are unhealthy for serious conversation about the plight of the nation.
The economic statistics of Nigeria are a finance minister's dream.Nigeria is fine:the biggest economy in Africa,low interest rates,inter alia.A comparatively stronger economy capable of absorbing the spontaneous shock from the crude oil price dive.Moreover Nigeria,as an OPEC member of great antiquity,has been there and done that.
The distractions are wasting precious time.Ghana is sinking fast.We need to be very serious so we can come up with potent policies to save her.
