After Mills found Betty Moulds guilty of judgement debt payments the only thing he could do was to move her to the Education dept to continue her looting. Readers would recall that Betty Mounds was the one who awarded SCHOOL building contracts at a triple price of the existing contract sum of some GH 80,000.00. And this happened at a time when they claim inflation was in the single digits. Could you imargin how foolish these criminal liars were. Kuffour built similar structures with 80,000 at a time when inflation was around 14.8% and under Mills it was 240,000 at a rate of 8.8%. And these buffoons turn around to blame the fall of the cedi on some mysterious dwarfs. I don't blame those African countries that have been ripped apart by civil unrest because if you have such buffoons in power who always turn our local elections into a West Africa one
by contracting Togolese Trokosis, Burkinabe and Wangaras from La Cote D'ivoire to vote for them, the " Road To Kigare", is sometimes, a likely option to kick their ass from power.

Former President Jerry Rawlings claims 60 per cent of “thieves” in government now hold positions in the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The former president alleged that those people fought for party positions just to protect themselves from a possible prosecution for their evil deeds.

Mr. Rawlings who was reacting to the acquittal of business man Alfred Woyome stated that prosecution presented a poor case just to protect some people in government implicated in the case.

Citing the involvement of former Attorney General, Betty Mould-Iddrisu in the Woyomegate scandal as an example, Mr. Rawlings questioned why she was left off the hook.

"Woyome the thief is now a free man because some of our people who were involved in the thievery like Betty Mould and one other person were not produce in court for interrogation to provide vital information to jail him," he fumed.

“When 40% of the corrupt people have lost their positions to enable us clean the party, 60% have now come in to protect themselves and we also vote them. Are we so stupid” he quizzed.

We are no more in military government when the government will announce assets of this or that person has been frozen including that of his wife and children,those days are gone.

This Starrfm report too is misleading,Woyome went to court to secure release of his bank accounts except the ADB one that the said amount was deposited,all his assets are not frozen as this report states.

One day somebody or a company will sue the Ghana government in international court before we realize our foolishness.it was Woyome who was defrauded by the state through those NPP officials.
You can't ask somebody to work for you but refuse to compensate him and run to take shelter under a constitution that my contract with you was not supported by the constitution because it didn't have parliamentary approval knowing very well that it is not the job of the contractor to seek parliamentary approval for contracts,it doesn't make sense to even a lunatic.

First, Woyome admitted he did not have any contract with the government.

Then during the trial, he submitted a letter of recommendation from O.B Amoah, a deputy Minister of Sports during Kufuor administration that Woyome needed to submit to Bank of Austria to get his loan of one billion dollars. Even in that letter, it was clearly stated that government of Ghana has no responsibility of any money granted. Corney, are you aware that this is the letter from O.B Amoah that Woyome thinks its a contract. It is not, ok?

Third, Woyome was seeking this loan on behalf of Waterville whom he has contract with and not with Ghana government.

Fourth, the Waterville company also stated categorically that, Woyome was compensated for all the services he provided to the company and therefore has no claim against Ghana government.

Fifth, Woyome so called GHc52 million judgement debt was based on his submission that he obtained one billion dollars loan on behalf of Waterville and government abrogating the contract made him lose three percent of the one billion loan as his compensation but it came from the bank that, Woyome loan of one billion was never approved.

Who asked Woyome to work for him? It was Waterville he needs to sue if he think he was not compensated because he did not have any contract with the government.He said so himself but during the trial, he brought a letter that shows that he was working on the said project on behalf of Waterville as the contract he has with the government. IS THAT A CONTRACT? That is why the Supreme court said his so called contract should have been approved by Parliament but it was not a contract.

I have criticized Asantes including President Kufuor on many occasions including the time he awarded himself a gold medal and coined the term, 'Bokassanazation' for that behaviou. Have you ever criticized Rawlings even when he was wrong? Tell us when. I remember you defending even an Ewe Priest who sodomized young boys and said he should not be blamed. When have you ever critized any Ewe in Ndc party unless that Ewe was fighting another Ewe?

Even in this judgement issue, you did not like Rawlings calling Woyome as a thief but because you cannot disagree with this Ewe god called Rawlings, listen to yourself in your comments how you are tiptoeing around Rawlings calling another Ewe as a thief you cannot bring yourself to agree with.

I have never said any Akan who looted the state during President Kufuor regime is innocent but it is up to the present Ndc government to go after them and prosecute them if they have the evidence. What is illegal about seizing the assets of Woyome and his wife? As a coup, they have joint assets and both are liable for all their debts it is legal to seize assets belonging to them. As a couple, there is nothing like wife assets or husband assets.

You cannot be against Woyome who is also an Ewe. I know you are in a difficult position here because you don't want a prominent Ewe like Woyome going to prison and that is why you cannot even attack Rawlings. You said Rawlings calling Woyome was just being emotional. If Rawlings was not an Ewe or if President Kufuor has said Woyome is a thief, I know the kind of language you would have used to describe him. It's just a pity a thief like Rawlings is calling another thief what he is.

Corney, I don't make comments or judgement about issues based on tribe, you know better than that. Even in this Woyome case, I have said the government was wrong in charging him for causing financial loss to the state. That was a stupid charge because Woyome did not make that decision to award himself that money.As far as defrauding the country, the burden of proof rests with the government and I believe Woyome knew he did not have a contract with the government but was influenced by some NDC people to cooperate with them and defraud the government.

Does he have any defence against that charge? Definitely he oes. He sent his claim against the government in court which he won based on government refusal to defend themselves. The fraudulent aspect deals with the fact that, he conspired with some people to defraud the government and unless the government prosecute others who teamed with him or can prove that Woyome conspired with others to defraud the state, it will be hard for the government to prove fraud since he presented papers in court to prove why he should be paid.

Corney, you have seem from my comments that I have not been foaming with anger about Woyome not being sent to prison because I know the government did not either intentionally or because of ineptitude failed to prove its case.

I read one of your response to my comment when you said the government cannot seize Woyome assets without court order. Corney, the Court order was issued when the Supreme court ordered him to refund the money. All the state has to do is tofile an order of execution which simply means they intend to collect the debt any means legal iincluding placing liens on Woyome properties.

Yes, we can go after Ndc party headquarters because Woyome has been branded by himself as Ndc financier.

Ndc General Secretary Asiedu Nketiah told Ghanaians the Party headquarters was a gift from three party financiers which he promised to name but has so far not done.

Let me give you an iota of information. Ndc in 2010 approached Woyome to sponsor Ndc party supporters to go and watch the world cup in South Africa and in turn they will close their eyes to his court case demanding compensation for his abrogation of contract by not contesting his claim.

You got it right and I think that is what Corney meant by court order (i.e. writ of execution is also a type of court order).

2. Your understanding of the legal fraud that led to the default judgment in favor of Woyome is lucid enough. You also got it right about the recent judgment which acquitted Woyome on the charge of fraud.

3. But you have failed to note that the basis for the Supreme Court judgment was very wrong, and I think Corney was on point there, especially when she noted how a government can fail to secure parliamentary approval for a contract and then turn around to hold it invalid.

4. She is also on point when she says that certain properties cannot be touched. I don't see how the NDC headquarters could be touched even if Woyome donated money to build it.

5. As regard Woyome's personal or real property, the laws everywhere make wide exemptions as to the types and extent that could be touched by a judgment debt. For example here in Texas, 250 acres of land for a couple is untouched by any judgment lien (except that of IRS and those purchased on creditor loans), and unless people have a piece of land larger than this acreage, they will retain their land even if they have a judgment debt hanging on their heads. In fact a suit in Texas to collect any debt is almost useless; it is as if debtors escaped from other states to found this state in order to make laws abolishing the repayment of debts.....
And the object lesson here is that Ghana will have similar laws purported to protect indebted persons from being stripped of their human dignity, and if so, Woyome will have to go beyond the threshold of the exemptions to be compelled to pay any judgment debt. There is no evidence that he will fall into the catchment group if he does not have any adequate disposable income sitting in his account as we speak.

6. And if you are deceiving yourself that Woyome is going to pay any money, ask why there has not so far been any government action to enforce the Supreme Court judgment all this while, particularly where Woyome has not filed any timely appeal on the Supreme Court judgment.

7. Given all the above, it appears to me that Corney may be fairly right, and it will be rather simplistic to assume that she is saying what she is saying because of any tribal biases. But while we are talking about fraudulent judgment debts, many of her admirers are also waiting to hear her take on that judgment debt fraudulently secured by the Rawlingses.
