  The Ghana Police sometimes do not help matters. Why should a prisoner escape from custody? Now the lives of those who assisted the police to arrest these criminals in danger.

  It is not new for a prisoner to escape from prison,it happens all over the world,they just have to do more to prevent that in future.

  It is not new for a prisoner to escape from prison,it happens all over the world,they just have to do more to prevent that in future.
  
  Having seven or more in that small cell is wrong,the remand prisoners would have been in prison remand but not in police cells but we cannot blame the police that much.
  Police will always find it difficult to transport prisoners from that area back and forth to Ho which is the nearest prison in the region,we had a prison in Keta which is just minutes from that area but they closed it down and nobody is thinking of reopening that making it very difficult for police in the area to deal with remand prisoners,we have so many people in positions from that area but nobody is thinking of dealing with issues like this,you don't need a very large land to build a prison,they should have called for rebuilding of the prison in Keta but they will not do it up until somebody from different part of the country thinks they need to have it back.
  
  How can that large part of the area or the south of the region that is more populated than the rest of the region not have even one prison and you expect the police who sometimes don't have vehicles to transport prisoners to either Ho,Kpando or Accra back and forth to court,are we serious,we don't know what is safety in that country?
  
  We have millions to transport people to watch football in other countries but we can't put up a small building to host prisoners to keep the people safe,shame on us for not knowing our priorities.

  ask again! Is police cell a prison? The escapees are police suspects who have escaped from their custody as a result of a failure in the performance of their duty. The nearest prison facility is several kilometers away at Ho.

  The suspects apparently escaped after stealing firearms - clear evidence of police complicity. So it's no wonder this corrupt police would want to detain those who did their civic duty. Arrest the police instead
