YOU ARE ALREADY TAKING FREE MONEY FROM CONSUMERS IN THE FORM OF PRE-PAY OF WHICH NO POWER IS SERVED BUT THEIR CREDITS VANISH?
They knew they won't have no POWER to sell to the consumer to generate money so they forced them at gun point to take a pre-pay meter so that they could generate money without POWER to pay their staff instead of laying them off, they kept them and pay them.
Power is provided 3 days in a week but all your estimated weekly credit purchased is all stolen for that three days and by the time the next power is on, you are in total darkness, forced to top up with another money that is stolen again and again.
THAT IS FREE STOLEN MONEY THROUGH FRAUD.

It is not because there is no money we have our loads of electricity reduced, it is because the govt failed to invest in electricity production. 1960s five million people and the electricity supplied is the same as it is now.
Shameless woman. Electricity corporation of ghana is only relying on one old project build for five million people.
Ghanaians will pay any amount to have good service of electricity. Some ever go to an extend to buy generators for their own electric.

If Ms Ametefeh has been allegedly doing such manoeuvres since 2009 goodness knows how many of such people have used this method just because of their status in society as security around such people have been relaxed. No one can be trusted when it comes to such issues any more as our security is at stake. We should not even allow the VVIP section security to be relaxed so that unscrupulous people take advantage of such freedom afforded to them in the wake of this saga".

Only 1 in 4 megawatts produced is likely paid for at full cost. If you increase the rates by 30%, it's still under an 8% increase in overall revenue.

Have the government agencies, schools, barracks, etc pay for their electricity.

Stop the illegal connections.

Stop ECG staff from conniving with customers to lower their post pay bills.

This untenable explanation further gives credence to the long held believe that those Technocrats managing the current energy crisis facing our country, have not even identified the basic causes of the persistent energy problems facing Ghana, let alone, evolving solutions to it. When you have mounting uncollected revenues to address, because, of your own inefficiencies, how do you convince people that increasing tarrifs is the best option. What a lazy approach!

I recall the time I was at the Stock Exchange to study for the Advance Securities and sat in the same class with the late Komla Dumor, taught by people like Amoabeng (CEO of UT), Togbe Afede aka James Akpo and some other intellectuals.
I was also at the Ghana Institute of Bankers learning under the feet of Dela Selormey of Bank of Ghana and others.

The PURC should be dissolved with immediate effect
