The power crises in this country was not started by Prez MAhama so I will wait and give him his four years to deal with the issue. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. against the American political establishment of his day, eventually brought freedom and equality to African Americans in the USA. The constitution of the land doesn't preclude Pastors from political speech or activity. From the time the reverend minister said this, NDC will put all their attentions on that "If I was the president, I will solve dumsor in three months" as if that is more important that what they are being paid to do.

After Anyidoho, Asiedu Nketia, Ablakwa, Kwarkye Ofosu, Sam Goerge, Fiifi Kwetey, Allotey Jacobs, Omane Boama and the rest will stop what they are paid for and descend into gutter politics because of what Prof. Martey said. It is only in Africa that Pastors are not supposed speak aloud about the concerns of their congregants but in developed countries in the West pastors advice their people to vote for people who would make their lives better if they come to power. All those calling on him to profer solution have lost their bearings. They should look for the solution elsewhere and not from him.
The problem has been created by the President because if the resources of Ghana was managed well devoid of the corruption, the country will have enough to even buy the fuel which price has reduced on the world market to provide energy inspite of the lack of gas supply.
The difficulty the country is facing has been caused by CORRUPTION everywhere in the country.
The government and all those close to power should keep quiet and solve the problem or resign and we shall take over and solve the problem-clean.

In my view, the prof Martey had underrated and misunderstood the whole of the energy problem in our nation and had hence taken it lightly to make a baby political comments out of uncontrollable nervousness.

The situation is not I can do it within 3 or 6 months, the reason is our nation is facing a situation which primarily in the short run is beyond the power of every Ghanaian.

Yes, it is so because lack of sufficient water in the dams and the failure of the Nigeria govt to supply us the aggreed gas is of course beyond us all in Ghana. If Martey can find this solutions then being a prof in Bible studies then he ought to be happier to help with the possibilties he has without being a president, since he can be part of the problem solving to the glory of the God that he serves.

The other problems in relation to the thermal plants and gas supply from our Atuabo Gas plant is what we all have to rally behind the president with open mindedness and coperation to help make it work better because this is a national problem and not Mahama's or NDC's.

Finally my observation is that the most respected people in our nation had been sadly possessed by demonic mentality which drives them into talks of anger than talks of preparedness to help solve the nation's problems.

It has been only political talks of anger, hatred, lost of godly focus, pride, selfishness and unpatriotism, an evil spirit that angers God than any other thing.

White people are patriotic and united over their things hence God had appreciated and bless them with solutions than us who carry bible and koran daily and are not patriotic and even do not understand the word patriotism.

Our defeat in life lies in this behavior of ours therefore stop blaming yourselves and get together to solve your problems. Stop the evil mind of ''Lets spoil it, it is NDC's nation because they are in power etc.''

The priest is a Ghanaian, and, thus, has every right, whether moral or civic, to express his views on national affairs! Who feels it, knows it, so goes the saying! He, like all other Ghanaians residing in Ghana today, feels the pain and toll of the dumsor and, as such, is expressing them! Ain't nothing wrong with that!!!

Second, as it's wont of some commentators, it's not how the dumsor has come about that counts! Rather, it's what is being done in terms of solution! Telling us constantly what has occasioned the dumsor is no solution; it feels more like excuses than explanations!

A period of two years of dumsor is long enough and troubling enough to warrant such criticisms as being made by the Prof Martey! Both the fact that the problem has been on for so excruciatingly long and all the promises of making it a thing of the past have not yielded the results, are what have 'created' the vacuum for even priests to fill in with their 3-month solutions, even if fanciful and fantasy-ful!

In other words, if the problem is now being taken up in the pulpit, it's because those manning the pulpit too do feel it! And if 3-month solutions are being offered, it's because 'a thing of the past' solution has been a long time coming!
