I told you guys! This president is useless. There is nothing he can do to get Ghana out of the problems they have put her in. With the value of our currency, the cedi, still falling, the useless young man is saying Ghanaians, not him, are foolish. Ghanaians are foolish because they can't tell if they are suffering or not, somebody from outside will have to speak for them.
So Ghanaians, you don't have any problem. Your pipes are flowing with water constantly, power supply is constant, you live in a corrupt free country, your currency, the cedi is doing wonderful, fuel price is very affordable, your hospitals are fantastic; even Atta Mills patronized them till he died, your cities are squeaky clean; garbage on the streets is a thing of the past, misappropriation of state funds is just fine, don't complain. I mean, you are just doing fine, if you complain again, we will scorn you, especially, if you are someone with a disability. Just shut-up and listen to outsiders, because they pay for the food you eat, the petrol you buy and bear your pain when you are sick and you are asked to go home because hospitals don't have beds to admit you. THIS IS THE IMPLICATION OF THE STATEMENT MADE BY THE MAN WHO IS SPEARHEADING 'better Ghana Agenda' If this is what it is, WHY DON'T YOU VOTE HIM AND HIS USELESS FRIENDS OUT IN 2016?

The president has been saying that he tried to introduce electronic payment and acquisition systems into the public sector {to reduce human contact with cash} in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

This has become so monotonous that Ghanaians are beginning to wonder whether the president is actually serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile's tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an effort, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling HIPC nation.
Why should Ghanaians hire a president that can't even introduce an electronic system successfully into the public sector to save us from criminals masquerading as civil servants? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us who hired him to do the job.

My gut feelings is Ghana (and for that matter Africa) WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER under colonial rule than independence today. THIS IS A QUESTION I THINK ABOUT A LOT as I see our reckless and selfish, greedy elite. I think the idea of independence sounds good but it is a myth. We (Ghana and Africa) are more colonized today under our African elites than foreign dominions. At least the people felt a little served under the colonizers; goods and services were not monopolized by the few elite. The people may not have been affluent but at least they could afford basic amenities. Perhaps Africa could enjoy better infrastructure today if it were still under some responsible governor of Her Majesty. A thought.

Literally, there are no lights and that is the sad state of the country after 58years under the Mahama-led NDC gov't. There cannot be a much better reason for massively sending such a gov't packing in 2016 than this. This is failed leadership of the worst kind.

Nkrumah at least gave Ghana one thing, i.e., Ghanaians being proud of belonging to the whole -- GHANA! And what do we have now, TRIBALISM and our time has come politics has replaced the very good intentions of those freedom fighters of years past.I can say this, when we celebrate the 58th anniversary, we should not forget something; that in spite of his own weak points, Nkrumah stood for something SOLID, pride in belonging to GHANA and not regions OR TRIBES.
