We also understand that J. B. Danquah may have been educated in the U. K. from a special tax levied by Ofori Atta on all taxpayers in their locale, just for him.
So, his Solicitorship and Attorney-Generalship was funded by the People of the locales - Akyem Abuakwa!
All that public funding would have occurred before the Akyea Mensah problem, certainly!

Dear Prof. Lungu (and General Readers),
Good day!
You are damn right! I am happy you bring this up. And yes, the same people Danquah and Ofori Atta 1 threatened to bomb if they voted for the CPP.
THAT WAS WHY DANQUAH REFUSED TO TEACH AT ACHIMOTA WHEN KWEGYIR AGGREY ASKED THE FORMER TO JOIN THE AFRICAN FACULTY THERE. AGGREY WANTED TO HAVE MORE AFRICAN TEACHERS AT THE SCHOOL AS ROLE MODELS. DANQUAH COULD NOT BETRAY HIS LOYALTY TO OFORI ATTA ON ACCOUNT OF THIS.
And yes, the Ashantis did the same for KA Busia. The scholarhsip the Ashantis gave Busia took care of his education, etc., at Oxford University.
Yet keepers of the Danquah-Busia Tradition turn around to blame Nkrumah who had to work multiple jobs to pay his school fees, accommodation, feeding, etc., under the harshest of conditions [Jim Crowism, racism, etc) in the 1940s.
In any case we ask Mr. Nana Akyea Mensah's permission to re-publish this piece. I have always loved this piece!
We thank Brother Odikro for doing this for us!
Thanks.

You sound like a puppet with narrow reading to you credit, and therefore swallow such drivel. Your facts are invented by your own figment of imagination and wont ever dent the hardwork of your perceived enemy. Of course, Nkrukmah had to wash dead bodies to pay his school fees in America as a stow away illegal immigrant with average academic abilities with no hope of getting one of the many scholarships flowing around. The hustle goes on but what happened to Ghana's Scholarship Scheme? CPP and P/NDC Children alone benefitted from it up to date. In today's Ghana, the nepotism and corruption introduced into Ghana politics by cpp reign supreme in the minds and hearts of their children in NDC.
Dr Busia was a class act and deserved his Scholarship, but you will never understand that singular achievement of his because of hateful self. Even today, Oxford University admitted a single Black skinned human being, so for Dr Busia to attend Oxford University at the time of high point racism and Lecture in the Premier University is a great testimony of his genuine ability.
Now, Dr Danquah will be judged by what he actually did on earth and not what you think with your porous mind and jaundiced views of paperweight scholars recycling old tosh for decades in their lives. Its bunkum, FK

Politically, he was an infant. He was good at mixing with the significant in society to give the impression he was also good. He an irresponsible father, had many children and took little interest in their welfare. JB was a man of no integrity and no self-discipline. His nephew Aron Ofori-Atta was far a respectable, honest and warm to his people. He was also politically, more mature than JB, No wonder he beat JB at the elections.

The Father of the Author, AKABOHA KOFI EGYANKA JEHU APPIAH, spent all his life on earth lying through his flat nose to ignorant followers his notorious Awoyo Asor. If your Father spent everyday of his life telling lies that he had seen and heard things from the Underworld or the heavens because he was God's right hand man, what would you also do, except telling lies? The Author is a natural born liar of no immeasurable quantity! Jehu Appiah's Father wore strange clothes to bamboozle both low and mighty that he is God's own Representative in the Forest of Gomoa Monznto, and the wilful illiterate followers believed him and accepted to wear the funny red cloth that resembled red loin cloth (Amonse) As a son of this wilful liar, Akaboha of the red clad Awoyo Church - Musama Disco Cristo Church, what will you do except exhibiting the traits of the inherited gene? Did Akaboha really see or heard all his prophecies or he told porkies to his wilful poor followers...Were his visions based on his hallucinations as first seen by his own wife who first thought he was mad and left him. Has the Author, Nana Akyea Mensa, inherited this mental illness of the womanising Father, who enslaved his Church members in his Farms in Gomoa to enrich himself? Was Akaboha a clean living man, or responsible for many deaths of hungry people whose monies he took to feed his many children and concubines in exchange of his lies based on his fantasies and flight of fancies as displayed here forever by his son, Ali Masmadi Jehu Appiah?
Again was Prophet John William Kofi Egyanka Jehu Appiah a pathological liar like his son writing these lies here on Ghanaweb under the moniker, Nana Akyea Mensa liar? Has his liar liar habit being inherited by this Author?

ISTORICAL EXODUS OF THE MUSAMA DISCO CHRISTO CHURCH
Early Life of the Founder
In 1892, Ama Esoum and Kwao Odum of Abura Edumfa gave birth to a baby boy, whom they named Joseph William Appiah. Because he was born on a Friday, he was known in his
childhood as Kofi. Five days after his birth, a man visited Kofi’s mother and told her that her son
was ‘ a messenger of God who should be diligently cared for’. The couple was extremely poor and could not afford to send their son to school. Kofi’s elder brother, Jacob Kobina odum, tried to persuade his father to send Kofi to school at the age of six. Kwao Odum needed Kofi’s assistance in the farm and did not have the funds to send him to school, so he refused Kobina’s requests.
Two years later Kobina found the funds to send his younger brother to school and sent him to Abura Dunkwa for his primary education.
When he reached Standard 4, Kofi Appiah went to Cape Coast and resided with the Methodist Superintendent Minister, Rev. S.R.B. Attoh Ahuma, to
continue his education. Kobina was residing in Abura Mensakum but continued to visit his
brother regularly. At this time he told his brother that it was he rather than his father who funded
Kofi’s education. Kofi therefore took the name Joseph William ‘Egyanka’ Appiah, labeling himself as an orphan, and was thereafter known as J.W.E. Appiah.
Rev. Attoh Ahuma was greatly influential in JWE Appiah’s spiritual development. Attoh Ahuma was a member of the DeLawrance (spiritual) society founded by the American, L. Aido
DeLawrence. The Methodist Church forbade involvement in ‘higher spiritual practices’, as were
practiced in this society; however many continued to be involved secretly5. Rev. Attoh Ahuma
introduced JWE Appiah to this society and began guiding him down a spiritual path. It was here
that JWE Appiah received his first spiritual training.
After finishing his education, JWE Appiah took a position as a Methodist Catechist in the Abura Abakrampa Methodist Society. There he married Abena Onomaa, who was also a member
of the Methodist Church. They had a son who they named Kweku Odum. After spending three years at Abakrampa, J.W.E. Appiah decided to leave his position in the Methodist Church to go
into business.
(Prophet Jemisimiham Jehu-Appiah, Akaboha I. “Musama Disco Christo Church (MDCC). History of the Army of
the Cross of Christ Church.” (Old Mozano: Unpublished article, 1943), 1
3 Standard 4 is generally completed at the age of fifteen. J.W.E. Appiah started school later than the average age, which is normally five, but he is said to have accelerated quickly through school. His exact age at this time is unknown, but it is approximately 1907.
4 This version of the story taken from; Rev. C.C. Sagoe, former private secretary to the Akaboha II, interview by author, 23 April 2002, Mozano (Recording in possession of author). Rev. Sagoe learned of this story from a group of Cape Coast MDCC elders. Others claim that JWE Appiah’s parents did fund his education and that he added
‘Egyanka’ to his name because of the early death of his mother.
5 I am using the term ‘higher spiritual practices’ to refer to divine healing and spiritual invocation. 6 Rev. C. C. Sagoe.
7 Ibid.)
He first took a position in Assin Akuna as a clerk in a mining company, but soon after a conflict arose between a British company and the local administration. The mining operations ceased, and J.W.E. Appiah decided to enter the cocoa business. He went to Osino in the Akim
District where he purchased a farm. Farming did not suit him, so he instead became a cocoa broker (today called a secretary to the agriculture department) buying and selling cocoa.
This business was also not lucrative, so J.W.E. Appiah decided to return to his work in the Methodist Church.
He contacted a friend, Mr. J.E. Morgan who was a Methodist Catechist at Agona Abodom. Morgan informed him of Mr. Samuel Yankson who was performing spiritual miracles at
Onyaawonsu. J.W.E. Appiah took a position as the leader of the Methodist Singing Band at
Abodom, and he and Morgan began training under Yankson at the nearby Onyaawonsu. There they met Mr. John Aidoo from Gomoa Dunkwa who was also a Methodist Catechist. Aidoo was a
member of the elders meeting board and knew that a Methodist catechist was needed at Dunkwa.
Having witnessed J.W.E. Appiah’s spiritual abilities and having befriended him, Aidoo suggested
that they appoint J.W.E. Appiah to the position. The board agreed and Rev. Ernest Bruce, then pastor in charge of the Apam Circuit of the Methodist Church invited J.W.E. Appiah, to take a catechist position at Gomoa Dunkwa, which he gladly accepted.9

9 Combined sources: Ibid,; Prophet J. Jehu-Appiah, Akaboha I & Itonuba Ama Fatoma, Branch Queen Mother of
Gomoa Oguan, interview by author, trans. Rev. G. E. Osei, 9 April 2002, Gomoa Oguan (Recording in possession of author).
Gomoa Dunkwa:
J.W.E. Appiah arrived at Gomoa Dunkwa in approximately 1916. There he continued fasting and prayer according to his training with Samuel Yankson. Shortly after his arrival, the Holy Spirit guided him into the nearby Forest for prayer. In that same year, he received his first
prophecy after two weeks confinement at this location. An angel descended upon him and presented him a Bible with his right hand. The Bible was opened to Acts 10, which states:
And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many
as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the
gift of the Holy Ghost. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and
magnify God. 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be
baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48 And he
commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.
After receiving this prophecy, J.W.E. Appiah, filled with the Holy Spirit, began dancing, prophesying and speaking in tongues.
When he met his wife thereafter she did not approve of his activities and believed he was insane. She insisted on taking their son and leaving him.
J. W. E. Appiah allowed her to leave but refused to grant a divorce, believing it to be against God’s will,
but after her departure he was free to continue his spiritual activities.
J.W.E. Appiah, with John Aidoo’s assistance, began holding regular prayer meetings in the FOREST after each Methodist service. A small prayer group was formed and the Holy Spirit directed J.W.E. Appiah, and Aidoo to make two wands over which they prayed. These wands were used to
heal many and perform other miracles. Some of the people who sent to witness the meetings became frightened by the occurrences, thinking them to be magicians.
They reported the events to
Rev. Ernest Bruce at Apam, however, the people did not know that Rev. Bruce was also secretly involved and supportive of higher spiritual activities. He therefore sent J.W.E. Appiah to Gomoa Oguan, where there was a pool known to have powers similar to the Pool of Bethesda, described in the Bible as “a spring fed pool in Jerusalem, thought to have healing powers. Here Jesus healed
a man lame thirty-eight years (John 5:2-9)”.
Rev. Bruce satisfied the people by claiming that he was transferring J.W.E. Appiah, to Gomoa Oguan because it was the residence of the Omanhene (paramount chief), Nana Kwadjo
Nkum. He argued that Nana Nkum would have the ability to control the activities of J.W.E. Appiah, preventing any further spiritualism. However, Rev. Bruce secretly knew that Nana Nkum supported such spiritual activities.
10 See Appendix A.
11 Because documentation of specific dates was not taken, some of the dates of the early history are controversial. The
dates I am using are approximate suppositions taken from comparing sources, but it is possible that J.W.E. Appiah arrived at Gomoa Dunkwa and received his first prophecy in 1919.

If J.B Danquah hadn't been born at all patriotic Ghanaians would've still overthrown Kwame Nkrumah with or without the help of CIA because, his leftward tendencies had reached a point of no return. The Guy was a red sickle communist of Stalin, Pol pot and Idi Amin type of human being.
Every Ghanaian cursed the day that this cunning, dishonest man was invited to join the UGCC as its secretary and he proved to be the mother of all traitors in Ghana. It was, therefore, legitimate and even desirable to get rid of that callous, one party state and president for life communist dictator. And I congratulate Kotoka and his friends once again for securing our true independence (after Nkrumah had hijacked the first one) and delivering us from the grips of Nkrumah; one of the most dangerous human beings that ever lived on the African continent.
How can any reasonable human being in his right mind justifies communist dictatorship and tyranny? Nkrumah did not have any excuse for doing what he did, except that he was preparing the ground with series of unprovoked actions to create a one party state and declare himself president for life.
Communist ideology doesn't have a place for opposition in the system. Have you ever heard of a communist democratic country with an opposition to check excesses of the government? Nkrumah chose communism as a means of keeping himself in power forever. He therefore imposed the 'Detention without Trial Act' only to gag everybody in Ghana, create a communist dictatorship and turn himself into president for life. This is because, communists don't share power.

why don't you now depart from the boring old tosh of Nkrumaism to bread and butter issues like suggesting how to reclaim lands for Garbage collection and recycling, or how to develop canals and gullies for basic irrigated agriculture for all season increased production of food and cash crops. When will you dig up research and lead discussions on Rural housing so that huts and mud houses in the villages can be improved upon for common human habitation? Hi Truthfulness,
You are right about the assumptions. You see, you and I were not there, so we can only make assumptions. The point is that in making assumptions, one has to be reasonable.
For instance, you cannot say Danquah was not told because his legal opinion was not needed. He was the State Attorney! You cannot say that Danquah was not told because he only understood the Ewe language! He was an Akyem!
In order to assume that he was not told, you will need to come out with a rational reasoning based on facts! The fact that Danquah was in town is not an assumption. It is also a fact that he was the legal brain in town.
At his age, it is safe to assume that Danquah himself knew what was going on! If he was really against it, he would have done something about it or at least, written something condemning it! Where is the record of Danquah's condemnation of human sacrifice? And they call themselves champions of human rights!
What do you have to support your assumption that he was not told? Was JB Danquah a toddler? Do you have evidence that he was too drunk to be told anything on that evening? Did he spend a long time in the toilet? What happened? Why was the Attorney-General of Akyem Abuakwa not consulted over a serious legal matter?
Keep dreaming!

HISTORICAL EXODUS OF THE MUSAMA DISCO CHRISTO CHURCH – AWOYO ASOR!
Early Life of the Founder – AKABOHA PROPHET WILLIAM KOFI EGYANKA JEHU APPIAH
In 1892, Ama Esoum and Kwao Odum of Abura Edumfa gave birth to a baby boy, whom they named Joseph William Appiah. Because he was born on a Friday, he was known in his childhood as Kofi.
Five days after his birth, a man visited Kofi’s mother and told her that her son was ‘a messenger of God who should be diligently cared for’.
S.R.B. Attoh Ahuma, to continue his education3.
Kobina was residing in Abura Mensakum but continued to visit his brother regularly. At this time he told his brother that it was he rather than his father who funded Kofi’s education. Kofi therefore took the name Joseph William ‘Egyanka’ Appiah, labelling himself as an orphan, and was thereafter known as J.W.E. Appiah.4
Rev. Attoh Ahuma was greatly influential in JWE Appiah’s spiritual development. Attoh Ahuma was a member of the DeLawrance (spiritual) society founded by the American, L. Aido DeLawrence. The Methodist Church forbade involvement in ‘higher spiritual practices’, as were practiced in this society; however many continued to be involved secretly5. Rev. Attoh Ahuma introduced JWE Appiah to this society and began guiding him down a spiritual path. It was here that JWE Appiah received his first spiritual training.6
After finishing his education, JWE Appiah took a position as a Methodist Catechist in the Abura Abakrampa Methodist Society. There he married Abena Onomaa, who was also a member of the Methodist Church. They had a son who they named Kweku Odum.7 After spending three years at Abakrampa, J.W.E. Appiah decided to leave his position in the Methodist Church to go into business.
He first took a position in Assin Akuna as a clerk in a mining company, but soon after a conflict arose between a British company and the local administration.8
The mining operations ceased, and J.W.E. Appiah decided to enter the cocoa business. He went to Osino in the Akim District where he purchased a farm.
Samuel Yankson who was performing spiritual miracles at Onyaawonsu.
J.W.E. Appiah took a position as the leader of the Methodist Singing Band at Abodom, and he and Morgan began training under Yankson at the nearby Onyaawonsu. There they met Mr. John Aidoo from Gomoa Dunkwa who was also a Methodist Catechist. Aidoo was a member of the elders meeting board and knew that a Methodist catechist was needed at Dunkwa. Having witnessed J.W.E. Appiah’s spiritual abilities and having befriended him, Aidoo suggested that they appoint J.W.E. Appiah to the position. The board agreed and Rev. Ernest Bruce, then pastor in charge of the Apam Circuit of the Methodist Church invited J.W.E. Appiah, to take a catechist position at Gomoa Dunkwa, which he gladly accepted.9
Gomoa Dunkwa:
J.W.E. Appiah arrived at Gomoa Dunkwa in approximately 1916. There he continued fasting and prayer according to his training with Samuel Yankson.
Shortly after his arrival, the Holy Spirit guided him into the nearby Forest for prayer.10 In that same year, he received his first prophecy after two weeks confinement at this location.11 An angel descended upon him and presented him a Bible with his right hand.
The Bible was opened to Acts 10, which states: 45 “And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.12
After receiving this prophecy, J.W.E. Appiah, filled with the Holy Spirit, began dancing, prophesying and speaking in tongues. When he met his wife thereafter she did not approve of his activities and believed he was insane. She insisted on taking their son and leaving him. J. W. E. Appiah allowed her to leave but refused to grant a divorce, believing it to be against God’s will, but after her departure he was free to continue his spiritual activities.13
J.W.E. Appiah, with John Aidoo’s assistance, began holding regular prayer meetings in the forest after each Methodist service. A small prayer group was formed and the Holy Spirit directed J.W.E. Appiah, and Aidoo to make two wands over which they prayed. These wands were used to heal many and perform other miracles. Some of the people who sent to witness the meetings became frightened by the occurrences, thinking them to be magicians.
They reported the events to Rev. Ernest Bruce at Apam, however, the people did not know that Rev. Bruce was also secretly involved and supportive of higher spiritual activities. He therefore sent J.W.E. Appiah, to Gomoa Oguan, where there was a pool known to have powers similar to the Pool of Bethesda, described in the Bible as “a spring fed pool in Jerusalem, thought to have healing powers. Here Jesus healed a man lame thirty-eight years (John 5:2-9)”14 Rev. Bruce satisfied the people by claiming that he was transferring J.W.E. Appiah, to Gomoa Oguan because it was the residence of the Omanhene (paramount chief), Nana Kwadjo Nkum. He argued that Nana Nkum would have the ability to control the activities of J.W.E. Appiah, preventing any further spiritualism. However, Rev. Bruce secretly knew that Nana Nkum supported such spiritual activities.

“Musama Disco Christo Church (MDCC). History of the Army of the Cross of Christ Church.” (Old Mozano: Unpublished article, 1943), 1
Others claim that JWE Appiah’s parents did fund his education and that he added ‘Egyanka’ to his name because of the early death of his mother.
5 I am using the term ‘higher spiritual practices’ to refer to divine healing and spiritual invocation.

10 See Appendix A.
11 Because documentation of specific dates was not taken, some of the dates of the early history are controversial. The dates I am using are approximate suppositions taken from comparing sources, but it is possible that J.W.E. Appiah arrived at Gomoa Dunkwa and received his first prophecy in 1919.

The Author's Akaboha Father committed deaths of many innocent people labelled as Witches in his Awoyo Churches. So many poor Ghanaians were beaten up, chained and starved, and given concotions, and tied to trees overnight at the mercy of the weather and animals and insects. They all died in sorrow. None were witches, or better still ask this very Atheist of an Author if he really believes in Witchcraft! Many followers of Awoyo Church perished from abuse and exploitation and so many lies told to its gullible desperate confused poor followers of the Akaboha's church. The poor were the victims of the extra judicial killings by exorcism of witchcraft...You are so infantile in your reasoning, Francis Kwarteng and might not understand these things.
This Author is horrified that Dr J B Danquah also murdered someone, as if murdering people, exiling people, detaining people and brutalising your own countrymen must always be the preserve right and monopoly of Nkrumah and his followers. You are never horrified by Nkrumah chaining Obetsebi Lamptey to death and leaving a sick important man as Danquah to die in a filthy Prison or detaining so many people because they were opposed to your stupid ideas? In Ghana, Only CPP and PNDC and Nkrumaists must kill Ghanaians and murder Judges and imprison people and confiscate the properties of their opponents and force them to leave their countries to die in exile. No way. To think that only Nkrumaists must be allowed the free rein to mistreat and abuse other people is an unfair situation. How many people did Nkrumah and Rawlings kill in their lives? How many people did your heroes Nkrumah and Rawlings imprison in their lives? If Nkrumah and Rawlings can order opponents to be beaten up and send people to prison and ban them from their legal practices and cause all these military drills and impose curfew on others against their will and send Kojo Tsikata to murder pregnant women and bury them in mass graves whiles so many Presidents and heads of State of our country are tied to stakes and killed in cold blood etc, should the rest of us sit down mute and watch this spectacle because you are Nkrumaists? Why should those opposed to the gargantuan corruption of Nkrumaists and followers of Rawlings sit down quiet and unconcerned as poor people suffer to death in the country ownmed by all of us? Shame on Nkrumaists of Ghana Politics for turning a fine country into such poor wretched state we find ourselves in now...
The bitter truth is that in Ghana, the CPP-NRC-P/NDC Political tradition of Nkrumaists-Rawlings Revolutionaries have engaged in Murder, Exile, Detention, Imprisonment, Confiscation of properties, Stealing and Corruption, Military rule, Curfew, Vetting and Investigations, Preventive Detention Acts, Firing Squad, Political Assassination, One Party State, Extra judicial killings and many abuses than what this liar propagates here...

I guess your detractors are having a hard time appreciating the value of assumptions in scientific thinking. In fact thinking in general. Assumptions are always the "best place" to start any serious thinking!
If they did, they would surely have investigated them to see how they theoretically hold your cogent arguments together rather than to dismiss them out of hand.
I am also aware how some of these critics of yours are "ignorant" of similar situations in human history where lawyers have commissioned crimes committed by their clients, or where lawyers have committed crimes with their clients, or where lawyers themselves are outright criminals. It happens everyday.
I guess these critics have already forgotten high-profile American lawyer Lynn Irene Stewart (and her client Omar Abdel-Ragman), though others believe she was set up by the powers that be. They have also forgotten Scott W. Rothstein, Richard Nixon (a former American president), Jack Abramoff, Bill Clinton (perjury, etc) and others in our own Ghana.
I am happy to see you here dishing it out them. I wish they knew how dangerous some lawyers have been to human civilization.
Good job, Brother Odikro!

Kwadwo or Truthiness,
Are you really a lawyer?
Do you have any clear how important assumptions are in forensic science (where murder, accounting, cybercrimes, etc., are topics of legal investigation and trial)?
The strength of evidence is weighed against the soundness of interacting assumptions. OJ Simpson's murder trial was thrown out based on the sound assumptions Cochran made in respect of the evidence presented to the court.
In other words, no case in human history has been legally, or otherwise, dealt with without evaluating a number of interacting assumptions. Evidence is all about assumptions.
You know what? This is why I refused to even click on your name "Kwadwo" after you used "Truthiness" to make that "childish" Prof. Abraham delusionary comments. Therefore, don't expect any response from because I have not and will not read it!
Unlike Odikro, all the assumptions you made were seriously childish and naive. Again, this is why I refused to read your comments under "Kwadwo" (attached to the third part of my essay "JB Danquah and Co.: The Case for the Preventive Detention Act") because I knew you were the one using the moniker "Truthiness."
You should also understand why I have stopped responding to you questions. You don't make sense to me many times (I don't make this statement as a statement). What I mean to say is that I don't see the "lawyer" in your arguments.
Seriously, Kwadwo, are you a lawyer?
Thanks.

Assumptions are good but to be accepted in court for a conviction, it must be backed by facts or evidence, otherwise it is treated with the contempt it deserves and tossed out. Odikro's assumption that Danquah was the lawyer of the Akyem State so he must have been told of the crime is just laughable.
Tell me, have you heard, in your life, of any criminal who discusses his or her crime with his or her lawyer before he or she goes out and commit it?

It is his divine duty on earth to desecrate the memory and works of Dr J B Danquah. he is wilful and persistent in his crusade to damage the heritage of Dr Danquah through character assassination. He wont let Dr Danquah rest in peace so long as NPP exists. It is a threat to his psyche and divine mission to keep Danquah Busia Dombo UP Tradition from political power in his Ghana, owned by his family in the forest of Mozanto. It is their biggest worry on earth. To achieve this, he has been given the mission by his people to pile assault on the good name of a big man as Dr Danquah. He has no respect for the man and his blood relations and almost half of Ghana's population who support NPP and therefore revere Dr J B Danquah, in the same way he and his parasitic agents of division bestows on Dr Kwame Nkrumah, who to them, does no wrong!!!
But he who lives in a glass house don't throw stones...
His own Father Akaboha Prophet Jehu Appiah, who worked for Nkrumah as a Divine Healer and got so much money and power to abuse and exploit so many poor confused people, some of whom he enslaved as unpaid labourers on his farms, others he cast into the pit of death because he claimed they were witches as well as exploiting many a wretched soul through excruciating tithes, whiles the Author of this trash and his horde of siblings lived the life of Reilly...What a loud mouthed idiot who brings nothing new to the table...

Prof. Rathbone lived most of the time that he gathered material and wrote the book; he had full access to the Okyeman Royal Archives.
Attempting to malign Dr. Danquah would not erase the fact that Nkrumah savagely murdered Danquah, an act which may well have been Nkrumah's "Nzema Bayie."
Nkrumah may also have had a liaison with Mrs. Mabel Dove Danquah.

Hi Grandson,
You sound too excited! Try to calm your nerves down before they bust! It helps in writing correctly!
Are you seriously suggesting that JB would allow any incriminating material to be hanging around the Okyeman Royal Archives?
Your intervention would have been useful if you had some argument to debunk the article here and now, instead of referring us to the Okyeman Royal Archives!
If you believe that Danquah's opinion over the impasse was not sought, say so and explain why they wouldn't consult the the State-Attorney of the Okyeman!
If you think JB was in Accra at the time of the funeral, and thus out of town and unreachable let's hear your case! I am putting it to you that JB was consulted, and he did approve of Akyea Mensah's murder!
JB was at the right place at the right time. He needed to silence Akyea Mensah before he revealed his huge financial loss on the state! All the murderers were his close relatives! Thus he had the opportunity, the means, and the motivation.
as for your Rathbone, one question he probed, and for which he obviously did not find the answer in the archives was why Danquah insisted on defending the murders personally, even though he was a Constitutional lawyer and not a defence counsel.
And he made a very poor work at it! If JB had given way to a more competent lawyer, he could have most probably saved the lives of his nephews! Why he stubbornly insisted on defending them himself is part of the mystery that gives birth to the assumption that he had had a deal to personally defend them, if they kept his name out of the conspiracy to murder!
Rathbone is not much of a help here. Do you have another authority we can consult?
By the way, how is Korkor? She and Nana were my personal friends! I was very touched by the news that Nana had passed on. Please, say hello to her on my behalf.
Calm down and have a wonderful evening!

Early Life of the Founder –
AKABOHA PROPHET WILLIAM KOFI EGYANKA JEHU APPIAH
In 1892, Ama Esoum and Kwao Odum of Abura Edumfa gave birth to a baby boy, whom they named Joseph William Appiah. Because he was born on a Friday, he was known in his childhood as Kofi. Five days after his birth, a man visited Kofi’s mother and told her that her son was ‘a messenger of God who should be diligently cared for’.
He first took a position in Assin Akuna as a clerk in a mining company, but soon after a conflict arose between a British company and the local administration.8 The mining operations ceased, and J.W.E. Appiah decided to enter the cocoa business. He went to Osino in the Akim District where he purchased a farm.
Shortly after his arrival, the Holy Spirit guided him into the nearby Forest for prayer.10 In that same year, he received his first prophecy after two weeks confinement at this location.11
An angel descended upon him and presented him a Bible with his right hand.

3 Standard 4 is generally completed at the age of fifteen. J.W.E. Appiah started school later than the average age, which is normally five, but he is said to have accelerated quickly through school. His exact age at this time is unknown, but it is approximately 1907.

Sagoe learned of this story from a group of Cape Coast MDCC elders. Others claim that JWE Appiah’s parents did fund his education and that he added ‘Egyanka’ to his name because of the early death of his mother.

Okyenhene Ofori Atta I (A.E.B Danquah) and J. B. Danquah
These two were half-brothers on the paternal side. Their father, Yaw Boakye, in middle age converted to Christianity. He was state drummer during the reign of Okyenhene Amoako Atta I. He subsequently changed his name to Emmanuel Boakye Danquah. After the death of his first wife, the mother of Ofori Atta I, Akosua Buor Gyankromah, he married a royal from Adadientem who was the mother of J. B. Danquah.
The Okyenhene had formal education and he was a great believer in education for all, including females. His daughter was sent to England and qualified as a doctor. He had dozens of wives and an even greater number of children. He stopped going to church when he became Okyenhene.
He was at one time hired as a law clerk in the chambers of the Hon. Thomas Hutton-Mills, and he stayed at the residence of his employer. He left after about a year.
He reformed the State apparatus, by disposing of the illiterate members and filling the various positions with his children, siblings and other literate family members. In essence it became a family enterprise with little or no accountability.
On his death, the money machine ground to a halt. It is alleged, that desperation to establish order and pacify the elements prompted them to make a great sacrifice. In consequence 8 kinsmen were charge with and found guilty of the death of Akyea Mensa.
J.B. Danquah was a huge beneficiary of the Okyenhene’s largesse. One of the first two sent to England. The second, being George Twum Ampofo, son of the Okyenhene. Danquah returned home in September 1927 with both a law degree and a PhD from London University. He received a grand total of 3,460 pounds during this period.
Danquah broke with the Okyenhene in 1934, claiming political reasons. He apparently did not like cosy relationship, his half-brother had with the colonial administration. He then joined the camp of the enemy, The Aboriginal Rights Protection Society., led by Sekyi Hughes.
He resigned as the legal counsel to the Stool in 1935, as well as membership of the Okyeman Council. It would appear he was in England at this time and refused to return unless certain financial demands he made were addressed; 1. A freehold house in Accra. 2 . A credit of 200 pounds. 3. Debts slightly over 100 pounds to be paid. 4. A sum of 1pound sixteen shillings be paid weekly for rent and additional sum for buying food and personal care. He eventually, had to settle for less. He returned on October 14, 1936. He eventually, was reinstated as legal adviser.
The relationship between him and his half-brother was never the same as before He continually asked for money from the Council. His legal practice in Accra was not overly successful, though he continued to live in Accra

Lankwei,
1) Some of the members of the [The Gold Coast Youth Conference (GGYC)], which Casely-Hayford, Ofori Atta I, Frederick Nanka-Bruce and others initiated, went to England to fight the Sedition and Water Bills.
Danquah accompanied this delegation as its Secretary, which Ofori Atta 1, his half-brother, headed. This happened in 1934 (the Provincial Council of Chiefs and individual members of the delegation financially supported this trip).
2) Danquah, Ofori Atta, and Gordon Guggisberg "teamed up" to undermine Casely-Hayford's National Congress of British West Africa (in 1934).
3) Danquah (and Ofori Atta 1) did their best to under the Aborigines Rights Protective Society, the same organization ("camp") you claim Danquah joined forces with.
In one sense therefore, Danquah worked with his brother to do many evil things. So I don't get you that he "broke" with the Okyehene in 1935?
What are you saying and where are your authoritative sources?
Thanks.

Dear Lantei,

However, Danquah and Ofori Atta 1 still continued to work and collaborate on many platforms after 1935, including both threatening to bomb voters who voted for the CPP in Akyem Abuakwa.
Therefore, the 1935 date did nothing to separate them from their popitical calculations. There is nothing unique about 1935 as far as their political interests went. Both them of them did many "things" together after this date. This "things" should be a topic for another day!
It is unfortunate I can't respond to you any longer since I have used my 10 slots!
Thanks.
